Located in Bangor, this charming condo for $120 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. LOFTY-DIGS is a brand new studio that we recently built in the upstairs of our barn. The studio is private, spacious, and inviting. Our location is within walking distance to all that Bangor has to offer including outdoor music venues, excellent pubs and restaurants, the beautiful Walk along the Penobscot River, and Stephen King's house is just 2 blocks away. The airport is only a 10 minute drive. There is a bus stop 200 yards from the house. The Northern Light Hospital EMMC is a 12 minute drive. The Casino is a 5 minute drive.

Upstairs unit with no elevator--might be an issue for some people. Small deck overlooking the beautiful garden. Off street parking. Newer unit had all working appliances. I would stay again.

Lofty digs was a perfect location for our extended vacation in Maine. It has everything we needed, the hosts thought of every detail! The bed was extremely comfortable, air conditioning was a treat at the end of a hot day of touring ( we had other family come to Maine and stay at other vacation rentals who did not have that luxury). The hosts were extremely helpful and gracious , thoroughly enjoyed Carols delicious homemade banana bread! Thank you again, and if we come back to the area we would definitely stay again!!

Carol and John have done all the right things in this property. Very modern, clean and spacious for two people. Walking distance to all restaurants and amphitheater. Will definitely stay again on our next visit to Bangor.

We would like to thank Carol for providing such a clean, comfortable and welcoming stay at Lofty Digs. She met us at the door, explained certain things such as a/c controls, gave us contact info should we have any further questions or need assistance, and made us feel right at home. The loft was stocked with various necessities such as coffee, tea, spices and the like. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was roomy - we would definitely stay here again.

The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful, offering plenty of recommendations for restaurants and local attractions and tips for getting around. Check-in and check-out were very simple. The property was just a few minutes drive from the heart of Bangor. A wonderful place, would stay here again!

My wife and I stayed here for a week and it was the best!!! I can’t say enough about the hosts and their dog. They helped us find places to visit and suggested local restaurants. The loft was private, quiet, and in a great location to all things Maine.

They need to consider putting skid-proof treads on their steps. My wife slipped, fell, and had to go to emergency for x-rays. Because of the wood grain, it’s hard to distinguish where one step ends and another begins.

Aesthetically & functionally perfect
Every detail is considered--high quality cookware and small-space but functional appliances, comfortable bed and sitting area, terrific shower, high quality linens, and coffee with cream! The hosts were responsive and accommodating. Great space for one or two people. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Love this place! Great location and Carol couldn't have been friendlier or easier to work with! Beautiful historic home and amazing neighborhood. The insurance deposit probably should have been listed before the end of the booking process but with such a beautiful home we understood. Thanks for all of your help and kindness during our stay. Nice rental all around
Carol was a good communicator. Well stocked with condiments, toiletries pots and pans. Very comfortable mattress and plenty of hot water. Nice vegetable and flower garden view from 2 person balcony. If back this way would rent again.

Fabulous time
The room was great, clean and well thought out. You can walk to Stephen Kings home and walk downtown.. felt very safe. Drove to Acadia park several days, not a bad drive. Stay here!! You’ll love it!!

Beautiful Studio
Really well kept and new place. Carol was very personable and made sure we felt comfortable. I would highly recommend this place as an alternate option if you planning to visit Bar Harbor as it is an hour away from the park which the drive isn’t bad at all we did it for three days and totally worth it as you will avoid big tourist crowds. There is everything you will need right around the corner.

Bangor visit

My husband and I just came back from a lovely stay in Bangor. The apartment was very conveniently located but still off on a very quiet street. I am a huge Stephen King fan so it was nice being only 2 blocks down from his house and took some nice fan photos. The apartment was so cozy and the bed comfortably firm. The shower was excellent with adjustable sprays and fantastic water pressure and fluffy absorbent towels. The french press made a delicious cup of coffee and there was also a nice assortment of teabags available if you're not a coffee drinker. We had a very enjoyable stay!!

Aside from a quiet neighborhood and perfect hosts, the space itself was comfortable and clean as promised. The bed was very comfortable and every amenity we needed was available. We had never used a French press ourselves, so we watched a Youtube video to learn how and had excellent coffee. In fact, we came home and purchased a new stainless French press just like the one provided. :)
We will definitely plan to stay here again if we return to Bangor again.

A clean and nice place to stay
This loft was nice and quiet. Very clean and the owners were great. Very quick to respond to messages. Although we didn’t find much to do in Bangor, we stayed here to mainly hangout in Bar Harbor and at Acadia National Park. It’s a little bit of a drive but we made it work.

The perfect Bangor getaway
Carol and her husband have outdone themselves on this property. It’s beautiful, well maintained, perfectly decorated, and super comfy. It’s within walking distance to so much and so quiet naps are a must. We will be back.
