We got a warm welcome by Peter, who showed us around. The wooden cabin was wonderful, with 2 separate bedrooms, both equipped with AC and a pleasant patio where we had breakfast and enjoyed the nature sounds in the evening. They really thought of everything, with lots of info on the neighbourhood, plenty of soft towels (incl extra, older ones that we could take on the ATM cave trip), Belizan roasted coffee to grind as well as filtered water (incl cold water in the fridge) and even corn and a popcornmaker!!! They also provide laundry services at a low cost and showed us aroud at their daughter's cat sanctuary who does amazing work in sterilizing and preparing cats for a new forever home. The owner arranged us 2 great taxi drivers and a wonderful ATM cave tour! A few meters down the road there is a small cabin selling delicious fried jack's and burritos in the morning.
For us it was not an issue at all, but be aware it is a 15 minute walk to San Ignacio (that has some real nice restaurants). You can always stop a taxi that can drop you off.

Separate cabins. Nice to have a kitchen and screened in porch.
Fans were good, but if it were much hotter than high eighties an air conditioner would be very much appreciated.
Great recommendations for booking tour to Tikal.
No air conditioning. But fans worked well.
Definitely can hear road noise occasionally.

Chalet bien équipé, bien pensé pour les hôtes dans un jardin près de la route.
Jenny est super accueillante, donne de très bons conseils. Nous a proposé une lessive.
Les bruits de la route très importants et les chiens des voisins qui aboient.

This spot was a break from the bustle of the Cayes in Belize. It was appreciated to have a full kitchen, 2 bedrooms, and a screened sitting area to enjoy the sounds of the area. The guidebook provided was super helpful and catching a taxi was affordable and easy to get to downtown and to Cahal Pech. The temperature in the evening during rainy season coupled with 1 fan was all we needed to keep ourselves cool. I LOVED the emphasis on energy efficiency and sustainability here. Check in and check out were super easy, and saying the address of the stay is all you need to get taxis to understand where to take you! GREAT food/grocery/cafe options around. We were extremely satisfied with price and location.
This spot functions more as a long term stay for visitors, so not so much a historic/culture experience as expected. Additionally, it is off a main road in a curated garden, so don't expect 'jungle' eco-diversity, more so 'neighborhood' eco-diversity. Do be mindful that you are in an eco-stay. Keep all food in the fridge and if you can, double bag any food waste.
