I think the staff need a little more training. Very friendly no doubt about it. Lovely to relax in the lounge.
Breakfast wasn’t anything to rave about. There wasn’t plates and staff had to be asked numerous times. Glasses for the juice was the same.
The dust on the large side board next to food was that bad I wrote clean me!

Beautiful building. Lovely spa. Nice food.
The interior is a bit run down in areas and not clean (the floor in the changing room of the spa was particularly dirty). The stay lacked quality service, for example there were never any staff on reception on the occasions I went there and despite ringing the bell, no one came for some time. Some of the staff didn’t come across well, lacking a warm and friendly manner (and I thought some were poorly presented in their appearance/clothing for their role in such a hotel). The reception itself isn’t very eye-catching or welcoming (no staff, information, displays, decorative arrangements, music, nice smells - just an un-manned wooden desk with clutter behind). The bar was often closed and when it was open, there wasn’t enough staff on at the bar and it lacked wine, wine glasses which created a queue and made it impossible to get a drink. The stay is missing aspects such as in room facilities, guest information, and facilities such as gowns. The overall experience was quite a let down, especially compared to similar hotels in the area.
