Location is good a with a very nice long and clean beach at your doorstep. 100 meters behind the hotel is the main street of Lamai with bars, restaurants and shops. Lamai is a lot less busy and more relaxed than Chaweng beach if you prefer a bit more vacation quiet time (cheaper than Chaweng too for eating and drinking). Hotel was good value for money, room was a decent size and efficient Aircon.
Not much we didn't like, I have been to Thailand several times and it was as expected for location, value and price.

Right on beach. Good, reasonably priced restaurants within 1 - 2 minute walk and overlooking the beach. Only 2 minute walk to laundry service and close to bars, restaurants, and 7-Eleven. A good variety and quantity of restaurants. Most were really good quality and good prices. Staff were very friendly as well. Two night markets are nearby and even a free Muay Thai night at a local outdoor pub that's open to all ages of spectators once a week. Everything you need, including medical and personal services are all within easy walking distance. Cheweng is a short taxi ride away and has a pretty large shopping mall within easy walking distance to the beach as well.
Advice for ferry arrivals: If possible to pre-book shuttle from ferry docks with ferry company. Pre-booked shuttle (with Lomprayah) cost 150 baht. Regular taxi upon arrival without pre-booking would have been 600 baht.
Beds were a bit hard, but clean. Sliding doors to balcony didn't fully close and requested maintenance to fix.
A a bit of nightlife noise from nearby bars could be heard until 1 or 2 AM but not enough to prevent sleep. The pools had an algae issue but the hotel brought in portable filter to manage.

The location was perfect. It was very quiet and clean. Rooms were spacious.
At first it looks a sparse but it would be great for families to all stay.

The rooms where big, clean and comfortable beds, location is good. The beds on the beach were free of use and the staff at the beach were great.
All though the resort was clean everything was old. It definitely needs to be upgraded and renovated. Bathroom was old and the water didn’t get warm in the morning. Rooms were really noisy.
There was no resort feeling al all. The gym was all rusted, that was a joke and shouldn’t get mentioned in their advertisement.
