Ridge House is a wonderful space to relax in Hermanus. Not too far from the central area, but far enough to experience the quiet suburbs. The hot tub is a major win, especially with the views of Hermanus and the sea. The in-house fireplace was lovely! The hot tub was filled and heated prior to arrival, this was amazing, and we always had enough wood. The breakfast is great, and the staff are so friendly - they even organised a birthday cake for my wife! The bed is super comfortable and quite big, and the shower is fantastic. Safety and parking were not an issue at all.
We feel that our stay at Ridge House was overpriced, for several reasons. We have stayed at many places that were not as expensive / similar pricing, but that were a more premium experience. Although Ridge House is not premium, but the price is. Having said that, the staff are premium! There is no TV, and the WiFi at times was patchy. When asked about the WiFi, Linda noted that this is an issue in Hermanus. The curtains had patches of dirt, and let in a lot of light in the morning.

The decor, the warmth, the delicious breakfasts. The hosts are genuine warm people. The view is great. And the hot tub was a great added touch.

Everything was just perfect, nothing to add or change! Clean, very comfortable. Amazing hot tub under the stars, friendly, helpful and welcoming hosts, delicious breakfast! All 10 out of 10!

Just fyi - it’s about 15 min walk (or a short drive) to the oceanfront and cafes.
