Lovely stay and would come back because of the comfy beds, feeling of safety and the lovely staff.
The showers were out of use on our floor, and all of them seemed to be having drainage issues.

The room was spacious with a private bathroom. Location was handy for the main train stations and heading to some key neighbourhoods in Berlin like Potsdamer Platz.
High floor with no lift, long check in times, traffic noise from the street, old style shower in a tub rather than a proper shower. Less important but there was no breakfast on site or similar amenities. Social / waiting area was rather small.

Location
The rooms are quite worn out and could use some renovation and be brighter. I would prefer beds with dividers in the head are so people don't see each other when sleeping. The towel is not in the room and not offered on the reception, so the lack of it can be unpleasant surprise in the morning. Some kind of insect has bitеn my foot in end of November, so the room might need sanitation. There is not much common areas in the hostel
