We usually do all inclusive resorts but decided to try Vrbo this time because Grand Cayman is safer than other countries. We are happy we our choice. This condo is right across the street from one of the beaches. However, we usually drove to governors beach because the water was more shallow and our boys loved playing in the water. This condo allowed us to cook dinners most evenings and have plenty of room to spread out as a family of 5.

The condo is located in one of the best areas in the west bay, Communication was excellent with Maria, she provided extra linens, towels, anything you need was there. Thank you will be back again. RoseJaime from California Laguna Beach❤️

This property is just as advertised. Very helpful owner. Location is just north of 7-mile beach and across the street form a great public beach. It is close to the turtle farm, hell, and some great snorkeling in the West Bay area. Also, very close to Cemetery Beach, which is a great home-base beach while at Grand Cayman. The townhome is clean, updated, and comfortable. You didn't come to Grand Cayman to sit around in your condo, and this gives you all the comforts you need, a huge front porch to store gear, and easy access to all the fun outdoor activities. -Grocery store and liquor store are very close -Delicious fish stand just down the street - Heritage Kitchen Things I think you should know if you stay here: -You really need a car, otherwise you will be spending a lot of time coordinating transportation. Just rent a car -It is a multilevel house, if you are mobility impaired, this isn't for you - master bath is about 4 steep stairs up from the bedroom. It's all fine, but you have to be mobile. The showers are great. -It is pretty close to a busy road. That is great because it is easy to get out and about, but we used white noise every night to help us sleep We loved our time and I would definitely stay here again.

Shortly after arrival, we dropped off luggage and returned a few hours later to mosquitos everywhere. There were hundreds of mosquitos, many of which were in the bathrooms and kitchen. I promptly notified the owner who responded quickly. She arranged for the pesticide company to spray the next day. I was told "that should take care of it" but if not, let me know. Over the next 24 hours, things were unchanged. I again notified the owner. She could not offer any further assistance but offered to compensate us for the discomfort. We were unable to relax at all as they were flying in our faces and biting. We avoided being in the condo and any time we were there, we were killing mosquitos. I continued to communicate with the owner who then decided that she would not offer any compensation as this was an "act of nature". We would have found other accommodations but we had already paid for our entire stay with a 'no refund' policy. The owner then stopped all communication. We spoke with many others on the island who were staying in condos and hotels and none of them reported a similar experience. I have never written a negative review about a property but I was advised by VRBO to do so to alert others to my miserable experience. Buyer beware- I'm still scratching!

The property was impeccably clean, welcoming and a perfect fit for a family of 2 adults and 3 kids under 8. Literally across the street from the beach, close to the turtle center and great restaurants! Couldn’t praise Maria more, communication was great, check in and check out were simple and easy, and everything was better than expected. Only recommendation for future visitor is rent a car, makes visiting the island in its fullness much easier! WILL STAY HERE AGAIN!

Very good!
Very good!
The beach was less than 30 seconds away! The grocery was just down the street- you could walk but a bus ride/taxi/car would be best if you plan on having a lot to carry. We just stuffed our bookbags with our purchases, made the young adult man in the group carry the heavy waters/gatorades and toughed out the 5 min walk home :) We had everything we needed except a landline to call local. But if you have reliable international calling you wont need that. Maria called for us when we needed it!

Beds were clean, comfortable, with plenty of linens, and bedrooms had blackout blinds. Showers were hot and spacious. Living areas had plenty of natural light, and could be brightly lit at night. TV was available, with Netflix, if you have an account. Being Canadian, we would have liked to watch our favourite NHL team and curling, but could not access. Had to go to a sports bar. Maria’s thoughtfulness was obvious: two welcome baskets, full of snacks, toiletries, etc. She had plenty of valuable advice and answered all of our questions. Thanks very much, Maria! Within easy walking distance of Maria’s place: The Diner (breakfast & dinner) 2 minutes; Subway-3 minutes; in the same building are Cayman National Bank with ATM, and a pharmacy. Across the street from there: a liquor store, clothing store, and variety store. Foster’s grocery store is a bit further-about 10-15 minute walk from Maria’s. Public buses run from Foster’s straight past Maria’s, so it’s easy to transport groceries that mode, also. We took public buses almost everywhere we went; drivers will take you right to your door. Cost is $2 CI (Cayman dollars) or $2.50 USD. If you go beyond Georgetown, the cost goes up a bit, but still a great deal. Drivers will stop anywhere to pick you up on their routes and can be flagged down easily. Right across from Maria’s place on the road is usually where we caught the bus, or walked to the 4 way stop bus stop by Subway. We only took taxis to and from the airport to the District Depot, in downtown Georgetown. Check out their routes in explorecayman.com. The Depot is close to the wharf, duty free shops, and numerous restaurants. We had our driver drop us at the public beach on 7 mile beach one day, too. Played cards, plenty of shade, tables, washrooms, and a food & beverage trailer close by. Gorgeous beach! From Maria’s place , you can see Al Fresco Restaurant, good food, and you can sit and watch the sunsets while you dine. As in the pictures, the beach is right across the road, locals are friendly, Maria has snorkeling equipment available, or you can use her folding chairs and take your book and a drink to the beach! Maria’s place has pay for use laundry facilities in a separate building, private patio in the back, good air conditioning, fridge with ice dispenser, Keurig coffee maker and adequate kitchen. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Maria’s place!

Great Property by the Ocean
Great Property by the Ocean
We were pleasantly surprised upon our arrival. The property is directly across the street from a beach and an excellent restaurant (Alfresco's), and a grocery store is just down the road. Maria provided excellent directions and there was a basket of assorted snacks just inside the front door, which really won the kids over as soon as we walked in. The property was clean, stocked with bath and beach towels, and came equipped with a bin of snorkeling equipment. The kitchen came with all the dishes and cooking utensils necessary and all appliances were in good working order. During our stay there was an issue with the door of the laundry facility onsite, but an email to Maria was returned within the hour and the door was fixed shortly thereafter. In other words, Maria was very responsive during our stay. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay. The only drawback relates to location. It is on the main road leading from George Town to West Bay/Turtle Center, which makes it a relatively high traffic area. We didn't notice too much noise from the road, but it was difficult to see traffic coming from both directions when crossing the street owing to its location on a curve. Not a big deal for most travelers, but you will want to be careful with small children.
