Restaurant food quality is good. Child care givers are excellent. Facilities really good and clean. Nice to be out in nature while enjoying some luxury. Great family friendly and pet friendly hotel.

This is our third time at the hotel and possibly last. Very slow in restaurant / bar, even for Portugal, 30 minutes minimum to wait after ordering, first takes additional 20 minutes to get someone’s attention. Staff at reception not very accommodating, asked for two days for a citronella candles for the mosquitoes and flies , first day was told they don’t have candles, second day that they do have but cannot give out to guests, third day, after getting locked in my room bathroom for 20 minutes (lock jammed) I ask to please have a candle for our last night to enjoy the outside area only to be told they sold insect repellent the entire time. And we still had to pay €20 for it after asking for a solution for three days and getting locked in the bathroom. For the price you pay per night the quality of customer service is lacking a lot in reception and restaurant (the waiters are great, there is just too much for them and the kitchen to handle when the hotel is fully booked). Hopefully will improve.

The location is stunning, the food is very good and the staff are friendly and helpful

For quite an expensive stay, the gym is very poor. And for what felt like a not particularly child friendly hotel, there were so many children which made it feel less idyllic than it originally looked

Upon arrival the greeting by staff was extremely attentive.
