Situated in West Jefferson, this lovely house for $141 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. **Stays of 7 nights or more automatically apply a 10% discount** This mid century cottage is a 5 minute walk through the park to downtown West Jefferson. Located directly across the street from West Jefferson Park, you and your kids will never run out of things to do! Incredible views of Mount Jefferson from the living area and front bedroom. Historic West Jefferson has lots to offer and this home is right at its doorstep. This home faces east so you can watch the sun as it rises over Mount Jefferson in the morning from the front steps, living room or front bedroom. It also provides abundant morning hours sunlight throughout the home. This home has 1 King bed, 1 double and 1 twin. The double and twin are bunk beds. This home is best suitable for 2 adults and 2 children, but can accommodate 3 adults and 1 child very comfortably. **There is no guest access to the garage** We are fully stocked like a hotel with fresh clean bath towels and bed sheets provided for you. No need to bring paper towels or toilet paper as well, we got you covered. 5 minute walk downtown, 5 mins to Mount Jefferson State Park, 15 mins to the Blue Ridge Parkway, 15 mins to New River State Park, 30 mins to Boone, 40 mins to Blowing Rock. This property offers a perfect location for all your needs. There is a very well maintained park directly across the street that draws a lot of locals and tourists. The park offers walking trails, playgrounds for children, basketball and tennis courts. Adjacent to the park and also across the street from the home is a very well maintained cemetery. I assure you, the residents of the cemetery are the quietest neighbors in town! **Please note that this is the mountains and some guests may find the driveway “steep”. There is a flat gravel area to park directly in front of the house if the driveway is an issue for you. Keep in mind you will then have to still walk up the driveway or front yard. This property is not likely suitable for anyone with walking issues.** ** In order of our cancellation policy, we will no longer accept alteration requests within 30 days of your reservation.** ** We have a security camera facing the driveway. It also provides lighting for your safety. This camera not only protects our property when it’s vacant, but also your vehicle when you are there. We also use it to make sure our cleaners have been there.** You will deal directly with the owner James. This means no extra fees from brokers and top notch communication. Your questions and concerns will usually be answered within minutes.

great location; within 5 min walking distance of downtown; i went for cycling and to spend some time at the Churches of the Frescoes (one in West Jefferson and one in Glendale Springs about a 10 min drive from the house); i would definitely stay here again and i would recommend it for a family. bjb

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful little house. It was our first getaway as a couple and our first Stomp & Brew Festival, and we couldn’t have asked for better hosts! The location is perfect for downtown events and even includes amazing views of Mount Jefferson! Thank you so much for making this weekend even more special than expected.

This was our third time staying at this beautiful home and will stay again. Walking distance from downtown, quiet, and cozy! Property owner is quick to respond to any questions and very easy to deal with! I highly recommend staying here while in West Jefferson.

He provided a helpful list of local restaurants with descriptions of food offerings, activities in proximity to the home and surrounding area, and left concise instructions at the home for everything, always including his cell phone number in case it was needed. The home was IMMACULATE and perfectly decorated! Best-stocked kitchen and household items in general that you can imagine. Clearly, James is an owner who takes pride in his property and sharing it with others. Wonderful accommodations.

James was an awesome host who communicated and made sure we got everything we needed from our initial booking to check in. He even allowed us to check in earlier since we got in town earlier than expected. House is within walking distance from town and is not far from many trout rivers and creeks, which was primarily one reason why we chose this house, but it exceeded our expectations. We will definitely stay again next time. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Great location, especially with kids!
We loved the location of this property! Less than a 10 minute walk to downtown and the park across the street were perfect for our family. The size of the home is great for a family of 4. We weren’t there for long so didn’t cook any meals, but there were plenty of dishes and silverware to use!

We rented this home for thanksgiving while in town visiting family. The property was well maintained and very clean. We will definitely be staying here again the next time we visit.

Location can't be beat
My family of 4 had a wonderful weekend stay. We've been visiting West Jefferson for years, and the location of this house can't be beat. It was an easy walk to downtown West Jefferson, and the kids loved being right across the street from the park. They're already asking when we can visit again. The house was extremely clean and looks just like it does in the pictures. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to anyone, and hope to stay here again.

Home away from home
We enjoyed this comfortable rental very much due to a convenient location and the green space views of Mt. Jefferson, the city park and cemetery from the sofa! Due to the pandemic, we chose to prepare all our meals in the spacious kitchen. The park was a great place for an evening stroll (and swing) after dinner. We brought our own kayaks and used Zaloos for our shuttle needs. The owner's communication was great prior to and after our arrival and I have no doubt we will stay here again in the future while continuing to search for vacation property.

This is a sweet gem of a property. Don't let the photos of the park or parking lot mislead you. Sure it's more city than country view, but you can play tennis or b-ball until 10 p.m. and Mt Jefferson is there to see every morning...great hikes nearby....the downtown (we were personally too concerned w/covid variant and low vax rate in Ashe to go but next time)....it was terrific. Just what we needed and really well located in terms of access to all the parks we like to hike in. Thank you!
