About this cottage rental
Fully furnished house available for short-term rental near downtown Lafayette. Just one block off the Lafayette-Moraga Trail, this charming Creekside Cottage provides easy access for a pleasant walk or bike ride. 20 minute walk from downtown where you can enjoy numerous restaurants and shops. The 2-bed, 2-bath cottage is 7 minute drive from the Lafayette BART Station where you can catch a quick train ride to Berkeley, Oakland, or San Francisco.
Escape to Lafayette and explore nature while still having the city vibe. Using this cozy Creekside Cottage as a home base - you'll be nestled in a quiet, safe, beautiful neighborhood with a walking distance to downtown, 7 min drive to BART, 30 min drive to San Francisco, and only one block off the beautiful 7-mile Lafayette-Moraga Trail. Nearby, discover the incredible Lafayette Reservoir, Mount Diablo State Park, Briones Regional Park, and more. Top off amazing days by unwinding on the deck near the creek and listening to the sound of nature.

KITCHEN: Fully equipped, updated stainless steel appliances, 6-person table, cooking basics, coffee maker.
OUTDOOR LIVING: Back deck w/ cushioned seating
GENERAL: Heat and A/C, washer & dryer w/ detergent, linens, towels, complimentary toiletries, hairdryers.
PARKING: Off street, on the gravels in front of our property
The cottage and its surrounding area including the creek are smoke-free and pet-free.
GUEST ACCESS
You have access to the entire cottage minus one closet for cleaning supplies. You also have a private deck and can use the path down to the creek. The grassy area and the large deck are not for guest use.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
We live in the main house on the same lot. The cottage is set towards the back of the property line, around 50-60 feet from the main house. You may hear or see our family when we are in the backyard.
If you would like cleaning service during your stay, we can help you book with our cleaner at your own expense.
As the cottage often serves as a monthly rental (which is reflected in the lower price), we will provide supplies (i.e. coffee, cooking oil, paper towel, toilet paper, detergent, etc) for the first week or two only. If you stay for more than 30 days, you will need to buy your own supplies for the rest of your stay (no refills). This does not apply to short term bookings of less than 30 days for which we will provide supplies for your entire stay.
If your reservation request is far in advance, we may not be able to accept it, as we aim to minimize gaps between stays. For stays shorter than 40 days, we can typically accept reservations only if they fall within a couple of weeks of the most recent occupied date shown on our calendar. We are sorry in advance if we can't accept your reservation request.

Our family booked this home for 2 weeks of the messiest part of our home renovation. I didn’t realize how grateful I was for closets and an extra bathroom! Minha and Adam’s attention to detail stands out, and all the thoughtful supplies they left were very appreciated! I gave 4stars for accuracy of description because this place is far better than the modest description - and because it didn’t mention that it shares the property with another location (which led to some confusion). Close to amenities and trail, plenty of parking, clean and tastefully decorated - overall, this place is a win! I’d recommend it, and I’d keep it in mind when family come to visit.

Stayed for a week to visit family nearby. The cottage was a great home base. Very convenient to Walnut Creek and East Bay (Berkeley, etc.). Trail was great to get our excercise in, but also just a cute neighborhood to walk through. Plenty of restaurants and amenities in Lafayette. Cottage was clean and adequately stocked. Very quiet neighborhood.
