This family-friendly retreat provides affordable comfort in the heart of historic Northeast Harbor. You'll be located right above the Colonel's Restaurant and Bakery in Northeast Harbor, Maine. Acadia National Park is nearby, as are charming shops and restaurants in the surrounding blocks. If you make the right call and visit the Sea Princess Cruises for a scenic boat ride through nature (half a mile east), you'll get to discover the many treasures of Mt. Desert Island's southern shores. Inside your holiday home, you'll find a sofabed in front of a cable TV, radiant heating throughout, room darkening shades for nap and sleep times, two ceiling fans to circulate the AC (in the bedroom and living areas), and a full bathroom with a tub/shower combination. This suite can also be rented together with a neighboring suite, The Colonel's Suites #5, as The Colonel's Suites #4 and #5. Things to Know Check-in time: 4:00 p.m. Check-out time: 10:00 a.m. All guests shall abide by Vacasa’s good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 1 vehicle. This rental is located on floor 2. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

Very quiet and very clean. Great location in downtown Northeast Harbor. Easy walking distance to stores and restaurants. Short walk to great bike rental shop with easy access to carriage roads!

Perfect location to enjoy Acadia, without the crowd of Bar Harbor. As others mentioned, pull-out sofa is best for a kiddo. Definitely more of a hotel room versus home away from home.

The codes we were given did not work and we could not access the apartment without help from vacasa. We were tired and hungry and relieved when someone finally got us inside. I would stay here shrub it was a great location and very nice comfortable place to stay.

The unit was super clean and convenient. The heated floor tiles were a treat. The second night of our stay, however, after guests checked into the unit next to us, all of the electricity in the bedroom of our unit stopped working.

Hiking in Acadia was our main activity, so the location provided convenient access to trailheads, some just minutes away by car, others about 20, 30 or 45 minutes away. Could easily walk to Northeast Harbor stores and restaurants. Especially enjoyed sitting at the harbor in the early evening--only a seven-minute walk away. The unit itself was fine but didn't offer anything special. There were a couple of dead bugs upon arrival, and the tub was extremely slick. The paper-thin walls easily allowed normal-volume conversations and TV to be heard from the unit next door. We had only one roll of toilet paper. The kitchen could benefit from a taller trash can as the small one provided kept getting filled up.

The location and the facility were "just right". Quiet and clean, just minutes from Acadia! Easy check in and check out. Other guests were considerate and quiet.

My daughter was supposed to sleep on the couch / love seat sleeper sofa but when we opened it we found it was broken. Missing springs, wires where springs were supposed to be put there in a terrible attempt to repair the bed. Net result was the mattress was falling through the frame. Spent one uncomfortable night there and then rebooked elsewhere. Awaiting my refund to be processed.

The Colonel Suites is in a great location with easy parking. The little suite was clean and well stocked with extra towels and bed linens. We were staying with 3 adults. One of us has to sleep on the pull out sofa which was thin and uncomfortable. So I recommend staying with 2 adults only. No one wants to sleep on a thin and lumpy pull out mattress for more than one night. :)

Great little spot and easy to find. Nestled right on top of a bakery/watering hole/restaurant on the main strip of Northeast Harbor. Sweet little kitchenette/coffee bar. Bathroom was roomy and offered toiletries and was stocked with extra towels and toilet paper. Only a 25 minute drive to bar harbor or most major attractions. Acadia National park is pristine and beautiful! The views driving around the island are breath taking.

Overall very pleased with the place. Not too small, but also not large. Very clean and kitchen has what you’d need for light meals. Ice machine in the common area which was really nice. The beds were not very comfortable, especially the sofa bed which was missing some spring. Fine a light child but not an adult. We had an issue with the lock but they were quick to respond. Great location, especially if you like a quiet little town. Right outside the park and plenty to do in the area.
