This spacious 1250 sq ft home is meticulously crafted from Belizean hardwoods sourced from the Maya Mountains, which lie just 20 miles to the west of our property. Unique design features have been thoughtfully incorporated to optimize your indoor and outdoor living experience. The fully equipped kitchen is ready for those eager to whip up their own authentic Belizean dishes. For added comfort, all rooms are equipped with air conditioning, ensuring you stay cool even when the trade winds take a break. Step through the French doors, and you'll find the sea at your doorstep, providing a private and serene sanctuary for your soul. A stay with us transforms your Belize trip into an unforgettable and truly distinctive escape. At La Vida Belize, we are committed to ensuring your experience meets your expectations. We offer complimentary use of a tandem kayak and bicycles. Just off the beach, you'll encounter expansive coral heads perfect for honing your snorkeling skills before embarking on your Cayes adventure. For fishing enthusiasts, snapper, snook, jacks, grunts, and Spanish mackerel are just steps away from our front door, while tarpon and other species await across the road in the lagoon. There is a 75-foot pier right off the beach for fishing, swimming, snorkeling, or just soaking up the Caribbean sun. Our location is conveniently situated just a short 5-minute drive north of Maya Beach and a 25-minute drive north of Placencia Village. Many tour operators offer the convenience of pick-up and drop-off services right here at La Vida Belize. We highly recommend that our guests consider renting a car to explore the region or opt for a golf cart to leisurely explore the peninsula. If you need extra space, the home can be booked alongside our Casita (sleeps up to 3) and/or Studio (sleeps 2), accommodating up to eleven guests for an even more memorable stay. Rental includes the entire home's upper floor and access to the grounds, Casa's pool, beach, and pier. We are located in a neighborhood of private residences. A rental car is best for transportation. Golf carts are another option. Please note: The beach consists of two lots and a pier. They are shared with our guests staying at the other rentals on the property. It is large enough for all to have their own private space.

The owner and property manager were always available. We had 3 days of rain that caused the bugs to be very bad. On day 3 there were dead bugs around the sliding glass doors and any inside wall. The property manager had it cleaned up while we were away and never had another problem like that. The gecko was another issue entirely. We kept hearing a high pitch chirping and found scat on the floor and other surfaces. We were told it's tropical and they eat the bugs. This was unacceptable to us. We had problems relaxing indoors and sleeping. We left a day early. That morning my daughter found scat on her pillow! These were not the only issues we incurred. When we booked it was not made clear to use that there would be others on the property. We had a 3 bedroom, 2 bath villa and beneath us there was another couple. Also a studio cabana had at least 2 couples come in and stay while we were there. We did not know we would be sharing this small space with others, let alone the beach and pier. When brought to the owners attention he said no beaches in Belize are private. It was intrusive and uncomfortable. Also the villa is located at the north end of Placencia. It is at least 20 minute drive to restaurants and the main areas of the town. I'm sure this is an isolated incident. This is probable a beautiful peaceful place to stay if the weather is hot and the geckos are not inhabiting your bed.

Everything was perfect. Kitchen area well stocked. AC functioned well. Walk to beach 100 yards. Beds comfortable. Enough space for 4. Pool refreshing. Location good but 1/2 hour to southern end of peninsula. I was hesitant due to one bad review on google. It must have been some prima Donna. That review was fully wrong. No mustiness, well lit, great supplies available. Beach was more than fine. Recommend booking a day /overnight in Tikal and San Ignacio. ATM cave is a must. Sea Horse scuba were very helpful. We will return.

Our first time to Belize and we had a great stay. The property is both close enough and far enough at the same time. You can relax if you want or drive down to the hustle and bustle if you prefer. The owner and other contacts were very helpful. Thanks

La Vida Belize was a great experience for me and my family. All the amenities were modern, and accessible to us. Im from Belize, and wanted something away from the village and city. This place was perfect. Kids swam everyday for hours. We had great weather also! I mean what better to wake up to the sun, and at night a little rain! PERFECT!! Even though there was construction next door, they were never a bother, you wouldn't think anyone was around! Lucas (manager) was super awesome, and Mrs. Dora (housekeeping) took care of everything, and left us with a beautiful and clean home to stay in! What more can i say, i would definitely want to rent this home again, and would advise this place to everyone!

Amazing!!

Amazing!!

This property is beautiful. From the first communication with Brad to (reluctantly) leaving the property to head home at the end of our stay, everything was perfect. Brad's communication was outstanding and very accurate. The local contact was also great and very fast to respond to anything. He also linked us up with a fantastic contact for a couple of local tours where we paid the same price for a private tour as we would have for a group. The property itself is stunning - perfectly clean, exactly as described / shown in the pictures, (the aircon was great!), the pool is perfect and the beach is incredible. Having the shaded seating by the pool as well as all the amenities you would ever need for a perfect family vacation. There were even a couple of toys in the pool for the kids - nice bonus :-) It's a very peaceful and private location and easy to get to and find, but bars, restaurants and towns are a very short drive away. I would also recommend heading out to Cockscomb Jaguar Reserve which is closeby. Thanks again Bran / Gaylyn / Lucas - this could not have been a better stay.

Wow, what more could you ask for? La Vida Belize has everything you need! First of all, Brad is great to work with. Brad answered any and all questions and kept me up to date on everything. The caretaker, Lucas, was very helpful while also being very aware of privacy. We greatly appreciated his assistance and his knowledge of local culture and dining options. The Villa is clean, very well appointed and on a great stretch of the beach. We apricated being just north of Placencia Village but also found it to be an easy drive if we wanted to go to the village. The house floor plan was intuitive and spacious. We enjoyed the deck that had easy access from any part of the home as well as the air-conditioning that helped us sleep comfortably at night. The beautiful pool became our number one spot to relax and cool off. Please don’t forget to eat at Maya Beach Bistro, so yummy. The little road-side farmers market in Placencia Village (almost at the end of the road) was a great stop for fresh vegs and fruit. Omar’s in Placenia has wonderful seafood.
