It’s hard not to love Venice, and this little out of the way hotel made it also more affordable and quaint. A view on to the canal from our bedroom, good air conditioning, and a full roomy kitchen where we could prepare meals. The host was very responsive over WhatsApp and welcomed us to drop off luggage early before we checked in.
The long, narrow bathroom was very unique. I enjoy this kind of quirk, but it did require standing a certain way in the shower to avoid bumping one’s head!

This was our second stay. Great location, a 6 minute walk from the San Stae vaporetti stop (which means you can take the boat from Marco Polo easily), 15 minutes to the train station, easy walking access to the Rialto bridge and the main attractions in Venice without feeling you are in an overly touristy area. Rooms furnished with antiques. Makes you feel some of the history and charm of Venice, great if you want to stay away from cruise ship crowds, etc.

Very central and spacious. View of the canal.
The bathroom leaves a lot to be desired, especially the bath tub/shower, which isn’t the most comfortable setup.

The location was good when we eventually found the place
Not really a hotel. No staff on site. It’s just a few rooms. No reception. We were met when we arrived and given keys. That was the only time we saw anybody. No daily service. Bathroom was across the hall but exclusively ours. No hot water on second day. Mould in shower which also wasn’t clean. Mound on walls. The place was full of air fresheners and damp removal pots - smelled like a nursing home
