The Property Take a scenic mountain drive up the San Jacinto Mountains just East of Los Angeles and find yourself nestled amongst the pine trees in Idyllwild, California. Welcome to our Whimsical Cabin In The Woods, a beautiful three-bedroom cabin located on a quiet mountain road in one of Southern California's best kept secrets. The Whimsical Cabin In The Woods is an alluring two story property that has been lovingly restored and redecorated by the homeowner. Cozy on up next to the wood burning stove underneath the wood vaulted ceilings and enjoy the calming atmosphere that only the mountains can provide. The cabin offers a fully stocked kitchen for all of your cooking needs, a beautiful second story principle bedroom with floor to ceiling windows, and a kid's room with a bunk bed and an additional pull-out trundle bed. The property has an additional suite with a day-bed and en suite half-bath located via separate entrance on the third story. The best part about this cabin is the large charming outdoor spaces. The entire property opens to an expansive backyard that provides great space for enjoying the mountain air. The back yard features an outdoor dining bistro set for 4 and 2 full size picnic tables. Pet Policy The Whimsical Cabin is dog friendly for 1 dog up-to 50lbs. We ask guests to pay an additional $35/dog/night and a $500 refundable pet damage deposit. Dogs must be crate trained for when the owner is away from the property. Guests must sign the dog waiver included in our rental agreement. Guests must notify Altez Vacations prior to their arrival if they are bringing a dog. The Location The cabin is located just three miles from downtown Idyllwild-Pine Cove, 2 miles to the Idyllwild Nature Center, and a scenic nine miles to the Mt. San Jacinto State Park. The downtown area provides great eateries and entertainment including local shops, wineries, and the newly renovated Rustic Theater. There is an abundance of gorgeous hiking trails perfect for either a quick stroll and a picnic, or more strenuous hikes to epic vistas overlooking the surrounding San Jacinto Mountains. For day trippers looking to explore local Southern California the property is located only about an hour from Palm Springs and about two hours from the world-renowned Joshua Tree State Park. The Neighborhood The Whimsical Cabin is located in a small residential neighborhood with close by neighbors. Due to the terrain of the neighborhood sound is easily carried. . We ask that all guests please be respectful of our neighbors. Quiet time for the property is from 10PM - 8:00AM. Parties or loud activity past 10PM will not be tolerated and will be subject to $250 noise violation plus additional fines issues by Riverside County. The Guest will be provided with the property owners personal contact information prior to guest arrival, in the event, the Guest needs assistance during their stay. Altez Vacations is an acting third-party listing service, who has received the explicit permission from the Property Owner to publicly list and sign into transient rental agreements on behalf of the Property Owner. Cancellation Policy Bookings canceled at least 30 days before the start of the stay will receive a 93% refund. Bookings canceled at least 14 days before the start of the stay will receive a 43% refund. Bookings canceled within the 14-day window are non-refundable. Reservations of 15 nights or more may be canceled at least 90 days before the start of the stay will receive a 93% refund. Cancellations within 45 days of the check-in date and are refundable up to 43%. Should a refund be issued, a credit to the original credit card in the amount of the reservation minus the cost of the cancellation fees will be issued within 5 to 7 business days. **Minimum Age 25: All Reservations must be booked by and accompanied by an adult who is 25 years of age or older. Valid photo I.D. may be required at time of booking. **Your inquiry on our property will be responded directly to your personal email. Please keep a look out for our response so we may best serve your request.

Oh my! What an incredibly charming home! Beautiful neighborhood! Peaceful, cozy, aesthetically pleasing, great amenities, just perfect! So close to town center, this home is perfect! Owners are so warm, friendly, and helpful! The house is beautifully decorated, owner clearly has great taste! Kitchen very well equipped.Bedrooms so cozy! Bathroom very nice! Hot tub was great! We couldn’t have been more pleased! Planning to stay again in a couple of months!

The rental was just as described and in a beautiful location. Check-in was simple and the amenities were great! Definitely will consider again for another trip to Idyllwild!

The upstairs 3rd bedroom was extremely dusty and musty with a cobweb running from wall to wall. Assuming this separate room had not been rented in awhile, but was part of my rental. I spent an hour in there with clorox wipes cleaning it. Also first stack of cups I took from cabinet were moldy when I pulled them apart. Definitely do not recommend this place

We loved our stay! Easy to find and check-in was a breeze. The home has so many thoughtful additions and touches that make it feel like a real home, not stale like many other home rentals. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment and the bed was great. Could have used a good dusting for cobwebs in corners and dust bunnies under the bed, but not a huge deal for us. Would suggest adding some dressers or table top space to the bedroom if possible but we had everything we needed! We would gladly return for another visit.

This cabin exceeded our expectations. It was the perfect spot for a relaxing weekend stay. They did not miss a step in decorating, it was straight out of a magazine! We loved the outdoor living too! The spa and fire pit were the perfect touch. Super close to great food and boutiques in the village. We would keep this place in mind for our next trip to Idyllwild.

We had a quiet, pleasant visit at the cabin. The bed was the most comfortable I've slept in at a Vrbo location. Everything was as expected and the hot tub was a nice way to enjoy the evening and see some of the lunar eclipse.

Everything about this stay was fantastic. The agency, booking process, instructions - all super easy. The cabin; well appointed, very clean, with extremely comfortable beds!! Great outdoor space for relaxing after days out hiking. Really wonderful relaxing experience. Missing my morning tea on the deck outside the master bedroom already! 100% would return to this cabin.

House is just as described a little but of paradise.great communication from The hosts. Plenty of room inside for a family although it was just two of us. The outdoor space is amazing - great bbq, jacuzzi and fire pit. Wish we had more time to enjoy it. But we will be back!
