Seehotel Baumgarten

Beautiful location, clean, friendly staff .. the road there wasn’t as bad as we thought it would be. Liked the sup-boards available to use, good swim in the lake and convenient to have the restaurant downstairs. Family room was good size. Good breakfast!

No elevator, no airco (but fans were on on arrival). Dogs not allowed on the private beach. Restaurant quite pricey but nice food. Low ceilings in room on 3rd floor. Missing some hooks to hang wet towels, clothes etc

Everything was really clean and well maintained. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The services were very good.

Can't complain about anything!

The staff was nice. They had drinks & snacks available 24/7 for charge. On the water. Staff is friendly the waitress at dinner, however, had a big communication gap, but the gal who checked us in as long as we could find her try to help us as much as possible. We did book a separate room for our adult children, which helped with the space and she gave me some cold meds because I had a very bad cold. She was very kind and thoughtful. She suggested a very expensive captain boat rental to take a tour on the lake. It was worth every penny to get out of the heat.

The location. The lack of “how to get here”. The regular large ferry schedule & the small taxi ferry which dock. We had to walk with luggage in the heat after a full day on the train 1.6 miles! Since Switzerland was in a heat wave, there’s NO A/C but no screens on windows! We had to leave the windows open to get cooler air, but that meant we got eaten alive by mosquitoes. One room faced the hills swarms mosquitoes would come in. The restaurant does not have lunch hours. One morning we missed breakfast then we had a walk a mile and a half down to a restaurant and Stansstad. This hotel lacks amenities and you can feel like you’re stranded. On our way out, we managed to call an Uber, which was great. That’s the only convenient part. The room we got for four people was really kind of strange. It was a room within a room with one bathroom. The beds were large and nice. The pillows were very odd. There was hardly any walking around space or to get your luggage out of the way for four adult people. I’m sure it would be fine for a family with small children, but definitely not for two couples.
