Absolutely beautiful and meticulous guest house, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place. Very stylish, you can tell a lot of thought has gone into every last thing. Super clean. Super quiet (I don’t think anybody else was staying here when I was) and even though a little further from the centre of Kanazawa (15 min walk) it’s in a really cool part of town near some lovely/cool coffee shops, restaurants and shops. I only met one member of staff who checked me in/out and she was lovely and spoke great English. Futon was incredibly company and very much enjoyed having a morning cup of tea on the peaceful balcony in my room.

The room was beautiful, and we loved watching the birds in the garden from our room! The host was very nice and helpful. Good location :)
The only thing is that the walls/doors are very thin, so you can hear people in the other rooms quite clearly - if you’ve got a noisy neighbour it can be a little disruptive!

The guesthouse is a beautiful traditional building, perfect for those who would like to experience local life. Chiyo welcomed us warmly and made us feel as if we were part of her family. The room was extremely clean, well furnished, and comfortable. Everything you might need is available at the guesthouse.
There is also an opportunity to experience the art of Mizuhiki by creating a traditional knot that you can take home as a souvenir.
Overall, our stay was wonderful. Everything was perfect, and we would highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone visiting Kanazawa. We will definitely stay here again when we return.

traditional japanese house, attention to detail, very friendly staff and very clean (be aware that shower etc. are shared with others). short walk to gardens as well as the bus stop with which you can go anywhere
