Fab we would love to come back

Location and modern

Due to the placement of the side fence you now can’t back boat into carport or driveway, would be amazing if you moved front pillar on car port back to allow driveway use

Ok for a few nights in Twizel but don’t expect luxury.

Large with 3 bedrooms, very close to town and Lake Pukaki. Good sized well equipped kitchen , excellent washing facilities, good shower and good sized bathroom. Good aircon in the lounge. Plenty of beds in each bedroom. Great dark skies place.

Seemed a little run down, bedroom doors didn’t shut and were damaged. No BBQ or outside tables etc apart from an old couch which seemed to have been left on the decking. Had someone randomly turn up and insist they had booked the same accommodation which was awkward. Outside bins already overflowing from previous booking so was difficult to recycle properly etc.

Overall, in a very poor state and not modernised/not worth what they want for it. refer photos- just a few examples

it had heating, good kitchen and clothes washing facilities and enough beds for us all

the state of disrepair of the cupboards and walls/poor presentation of house including the revolting old grubby couches/chairs on the front patio. What an awful first impression. The obvious effort made to deceive the buyer by advertising it for the price it should be in booking.com but unlike every other property having a fine print about there being extra costs- a lot of extra costs!! and check in being at 3pm not 2pm. it was not close to be worth the extra cost

After a disappointing start, the stay was adequate to our needs.

The shower was really great. One of the best we've had on our trip. Having a washing machine and dryer was also very helpful. The owner has started to renovate, which is great. The lounge, kitchen, laundry and bathroom have been renovated and are nice.

First impressions matter. The place was marketed as "Modern on McKenzie". It was not. We thought we had the wrong address when we saw the property. There were tired chairs and a scruffy couch on the deck and there was a grubby, torn net curtain in the bedroom facing the deck. The house paintwork was tired and the front door looked as if it needed attention. The garden was unkempt. The louvered windows were covered in cobwebs and the bedrooms really needed painting. With a little more attention/ renovation, the place could be much nicer.

Worse stay ever. Our vacation transformed in a nightmare in a blink

The property is not suitable for accommodation. More suitable for thrill ghost house seekers. Un clean broken furniture bugs and the list go on. The owners won't acknowledge the wrong doing and they to escape the duty of care

good location handy to town centre

cleaned to a poor standard, we even had to unblock the shower waste outlet, dust on window sills etc, flaking paint on walls in bedrooms. only rooms in modern condition were the kitchen living and bathroom. Uncomfortable bed.. Thr land was untidy. long grass, and shabby furniture on deck

Louvered window in bathroom pours in cold air. Beds need an upgrade , one bed squeaks badly. Lock box is difficult to open. No milk in fridge 😕
