About this house rental
Nestled in Tisbury, this charming house for $768 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Bright and airy house in a quiet neighborhood near the library. The location is tucked away yet an easy walk to shops, restaurants, galleries, harbor, and beaches. The house features four spacious bedrooms. Each of the two bedrooms on the first floor has a private deck, perfect for morning coffee or an evening nightcap. The second floor has two enormous bedrooms, each an en-suite with tons of closet space. All but one room in the house has a mini-split for air conditioning or heat. *** No Service Animals Allowed. The property is strictly an animal free zone because the owner has severe allergies.*** Please note that bed linens and bath towels are not included in the standard rental fee. You are welcome to bring your own or use one of the linen rental services on the island. We realize the two main options for linen services are not great – one does not offer quality fitted sheets, and the other is quite expensive. We also understand that some wish to travel light without the considerable bulk of bed linens, bath towels, washcloths, and beach towels. So as a solution, we can provide these items for an extra $200, which is much lower cost for quality linens. We offer this only as a convenience, so feel free to bring your own items (no cost) or use one of the linen services. The house features an open concept kitchen/dining/living room area with casual seating/dining space for eight. Enjoy meals in the functional kitchen with stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, and a large island. In addition to the standard coffee maker and toaster, we provide a Kitchen Aid mixer, waffle iron, stovetop espresso maker, griddle, pressure cooker, electric tea kettle, and a food processor. We even have a Vitamix blender, which is perfect for making frozen drinks. Yes, we have a high chair for the little one. Enjoy the spacious yard and wonderful garden. The house has an outdoor dining area, with seating for ten and a separate patio area for relaxing. When it's time to get your GRILL on, fire up our Weber grill with the sear station. Oh, by the way, YOU WILL fall in love with the outdoor cedar shower. We have your entertainment covered too, see below. *** Outdoor games include volleyball, badminton, jumble Kenga, Corn hole, dodge ball, and frisbees. **** For the beach, we have sand toys, four beach chairs, a big cooler and medium-size cooler, and two boogie boards. *** Indoor games include chess, checkers, a poker chip set, dominoes, kid games, and of course, UNO. We provide high-speed internet and get great reception throughout the house. Every bedroom has a flat-screen TV, an Apple TV device, and an echo Dot smart speaker. Free access to Netflix, HBO max, and Apple Music is included. Bedroom descriptions Blue Room: This is the smaller of the 1st-floor bedrooms. The room features a large closet and a small private deck. Furnishings include a queen bed, four-drawer dresser, and a nightstand. The room has a TV and an Echo Dot smart speaker. Grey room: This is the larger of the 1st-floor bedrooms. The room features a large closet and private deck with a bistro set. Furnishings include a king-size bed, four-drawer dresser, and a nightstand. The room has a TV and an Echo Dot smart speaker. Captain room: This is a large bedroom on the 2nd floor that features a private bathroom, large closet, and an office nook. Furnishings include two full-size beds, a four-drawer dresser, and two nightstands. The room has a TV and an Echo Dot smart speaker. Master bedroom: This is an enormous bedroom that features a private bathroom, reading nook, and walk-in closet. 1 Bird Street was the perfect destination for my family. We were looking for a house for 8 adults and the number of bedrooms/bathrooms complimented our needs. The location was perfect as it was a short walk to downtown. It was great getting breakfast in Oak Bluffs and not having to worry about parking! The home offered plenty of outdoor space for us to enjoy, and we found ourselves sitting for hours outside enjoying the fall weather. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for nighttime BBQs. The beds were very comfortable which was a blessing for a family member with back issues. We chose to utilize the linen service due to the fact that we had family members coming from various parts of the country for this visit.
Bill and Crystal were prompt with all communication, and Bill met us on site upon check-in. He pointed out a small imperfection with a bathroom which was not a problem throughout our stay. The house suited our needs and as we plan on returning next September, Bird Street will definitely be on our radar in 2024!

Bill and Crystal met our group at their beautiful home and gave us a walk through describing all the features and layout.
We didn’t have our rental car yet so, Crystal took us to the grocery store and gave a little tour of the island.
The house location is excellent a 15 minute walk to shopping and dining.
There were 5 adults and one infant and we all had plenty of space!
I will definitely book here again!
The outside was perfect for family dinners, including two separate seating areas, gas grill, and fire pit.

Bill and Crystal's property was just what my family needed and so much more. The photos do not provide adequate justice for this home because how can one capture such warmth, comfort and peacefulness in a photo that can only be felt in person. I felt at home when as soon as I met the owners Bill + Crystal. They are the epitome of great hosts and great service. The attention to detail throughout their home was everything and made my family feel as though they were at home from beginning to end. The outdoor space is amazing and provided lots of options for family engagement of all ages. This home exceeded my expectations and it was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Its close proximity to Oak Bluffs is a plus and I would be remiss if I didn't mention the beautiful flowers outdoors that attracted white butterflies daily. A good time was had by all and I'm looking forward to returning again in the near future.

Their hosting was warm and inviting, just like their home. We were impressed by all of the amenities and intentional care to create the perfect vacation spot.

Our family has been vacationing in Martha’s Vineyard for over 30 years and have stayed at several different homes on the island. This home was a family favorite! It was very clean and everything you can possibly need in the kitchen including a high chair! We spent most nights outside relaxing by one of the two seating areas. One of our favorite aspects of the home was the ability to easily walk to town. We walked to center of town for coffee in the morning or for ice cream in the evening. It was close to a park and around the corner from the town library. Crystal and Bill were very accommodating and thought of everything for their guests. Overall, the home is beautiful, rooms are spacious, and location is perfect. We look forward to future stays here!

This was one of our all time favorite vacations and this house was a large part of why we loved it! It was spacious, clean, lovingly decorated, close to everything, It had everything we needed- from great pots and pans to waffle makers and blenders and SO much more! Bill & Crystal are wonderful hosts and people, very responsive before and during the rental. They have thought of everything to ensure you have a delightful stay at Bird St, and on the Vineyard, even sharing a long list of their favorite spots all over the island. The property is as advertised in the description and pics. The home is clean and comfortable, with meaningful family touches and amenities galore. Making meals indoors (so many kitchen appliances) and outdoors (grill, fire pit, and patio) was easy and fun for kids (think waffles and s’mores). TVs, home entertainment, and Wi-Fi were great, too. The location is the best of both worlds - a quiet neighborhood retreat yet walking distance to OB’s Circuit Ave, restaurants, shops, and beaches. We’ve been to the Vineyard many times before and would definitely add this to the list of places to return. Thanks again, Bill & Crystal!

We enjoyed a wonderful week at 1 Bird Street. The house was beautiful, clean and well-equipped with everything we needed for a great stay. The location is walking distance to OB. Particularly appreciated the walk-thru with Bill and Crystal and learning a little about their family history. The family quilts and artwork were beautiful. They were responsive to our calls and wanted to ensure we enjoyed ourselves. Thanks for wonderful stay.

Bill and Krystal are terrific hosts who think of all the little things, like a portable Bluetooth speaker, beach chairs, games and lots more. The house was perfect for our party of 8. The home was modern and very comfortable. And the WiFi was great! Very spacious with warm accents and wonderful lighting. The outside spaces were a delight to spend our evenings, including the outdoor shower which made coming home from the beach an easy process. We look forward to returning next year!

Relaxing getaway
Bill and Crystal are amazing hosts!! No wonder they are premier hosts!!! They both welcomed us on our arrival.. a wonderful homemade sweet potato pie was in the oven- which we savored during our stay. Delish!!! This set the tone for our vacation with our 2 teenaged boys- family time is the best time. We received great tips on where to eat, rent bikes- such a warm welcome- felt like family.
Best things about their home: CLEAN!!!CLEAN!!CLEAN!!! AMENITIES!! Close to the beach, the list goes on and on.

Excellent family home on outskirts of Oak Bluffs
Hosts could not have been more lovely and helpful to set us up before the week and while we were there. We have rented 20 + homes and first time I can genuinely say that our hosts made this feel like our own home. The house was very clean and comfortable, with every possible amenity you could need for a great week at the beach. Excellent !

Our stay was perfect in every way! My wife and I stayed with our two adult children in their 20's and their significant others for 1 week. Bill and Crystal were incredibly welcoming and helpful! We have rented often, and they are the best hosts we have ever met! The house is beautiful, immaculate and incredibly well set up. The kitchen is very well appointed with every possible appliance and the grill is terrific. The bedrooms are large, and having 3 full baths (including with 2 within 2 master suites) and the terrific outdoor shower was so perfect for us! The location is also perfect, with a 15 minute walk (3 minute bikeride) to Circuit avenue (center of town), two town beaches (Inkwell and Eastville) under 10 minutes on the bike, easy access to the bike path to state beach, easy access to the bike paths leading elsewhere on the island, a nearby convenience store (Tony's) open late with most of what we needed, and even close to the Oak Bluffs arts district which has 5 or so really nice galleries! We had previously stayed in Edgartown and this was our first time in Oak Bluffs, and we loved it here! We biked twice to Edgartown (once to Chappy) and also once to Long Point, and even biked to see a production of Macbeth at the Vineyard Haven amphitheater! We had such a terrific time here, and hope to come back as soon as we possibly can. Wow!

Their place is beautiful and the small personal touches they added really make the house feel like home. Every room is comfortable, all of the appliances and extras are amazing and from the moment you enter the house you can feel the love and care they poured into every nook and cranny. The location is perfect, walking distance to the gingerbread houses and OB Center, and their yard is the best place to hang out after a day at the beach or if your looking for a quiet night in. I could go on more about what a great job they did but its best you see for yourself... you cannot loose renting from them or staying in the bird house!
