Situated in Traverse City, this charming condo for $42 per night is a great choice for your next trip. The Canary Suite Bedroom 1: Queen Bed The space is a single-room studio apartment on the ground floor with a private entrance. Lovely windows and high-end finishes have been used to create a comfortable atmosphere. Other things to note: This is an old building which has been lovingly renovated one apartment at a time. It is safe, comfortable and clean but also very quirky and definitely not perfect. You would be disappointed if you expected a modern exterior. But, the apartments are newly remodeled, plush, and comfortable. It is a blast to stay here, and it is hard to find a closer room to downtown at such a reasonable price. Living in the middle of the fun, sometimes means you can hear street noises from local businesses (late night dance music) or traffic. White noise machines available in the unit to block out unwanted noise and potentially promote more restful sleep. Nice space, very comfortable bed. Convenient for local attractions and restaurants. Loved being right next to the Broadman trail and lake. Also, when we woke up to a flat tire, the tire shop across the street was a life saver. Might want to put a towel bar in under the dish rack.

This is a renovated building right off the downtown area. The 1 bed/ bath unit was clean and nicely maintained. We had an issue with the TV, but that was survivable.

Good location close to lake and bike shop. Walking distance to good restaurants. The one across the street has very limited hours. Very tiny apartment but worked for us for a short visit.

The space was perfect for my needs. Needed a space to crash and chill when not out and about…this place was perfect. Easy walking to restaurants and breweries. Ten minutes from/to airport. The space was clean and ready to go. Fine for a couple of days for couple or single who are just looking for a place to hang and crash at the end of a fun day out and about.

The property was clean, quiet, and a close walk ti everything in traverse city. The property owner was great about communication, leaving great instructions that made the check in process easy. They made sure the let me know they were a short text away from helping us with anything we might need over our stay.

The check in process and communication were great. The actual studio apartment was just OK. Bathroom floor uneven, kicked it in the middle of the night. The loud music from the NIGHT CLUB RIGHT NEXT DOOR kept me up all night. Comfortable bed.

Our stay at The Canary Suite in Traverse City was great! Troy clearly communicated about check in, checking out, and also checked on us throughout our stay. The suite was actually as described; it was clean, linens and bedding comfortable, kitchen furnished with all we needed for our time there. We would definitely recommend this property! Such a cute suite for a quick trip to Traverse City! It’s super close to the Filling Station Brewery and a 10-15 minute walk to downtown! Great amenities in the apartment!

My mother-in-law booked this stay as a Christmas gift for us. She said communication with property management was bad from the get go. She made it clear it was us staying and not her. Thankfully we were able to reach her to call management to release checkin info to us as her email only was on record. The fact VRBO, DACK app, a management company had to all be involved in this booking meant a lot of unnecessary calls and stress especially for an 81 year old woman. The place is cute and not perfect. If you like old-fashioned architecture you’ll love it. The unit was quaint enough but smelled of mildew which made me wake with a headache. The noise from the bar behind us was awful even with the noise machine provided. The traffic noise and boom, boom, boom car stereos out front were also annoying. It’s not that we didn’t like the cute, little apartment. It’s just that the noise was annoying.

We had a one-night stay in the Canary Suite. Nice place for a couple that shares the bed. Its a small studio as advertised with lots of character. We were able to have a nice walk to/from old town with convenient local brewery across the street and picked up on a 'cool vibe' with activity in the neighborhood. We had a short stay on a Saturday nigth in September. Great communication by the host and the place delivered as advertised.

The place is great for a couple for short term stay and is close by to just about everything around Traverse city. The bed was very comfortable. Communication with the owner was mostly good, just some minor hiccups with recent policy changes and checkout instructions were sent after we left the next morning (and no booklet inside the place).

This place was very “ musty” smelling. It is within walking distance from downtown. We had a real problem with getting the key in and out of the lock. The bed is comfortable.

The place is fine if you don’t plan on being in the room for long periods of time because of how small it is. The walls are paper thin, so if you’re a light sleeper, bring some ear plugs. Otherwise it was what we expected on the listing.

The room was clean. The towels that were provided had a smell. The smell of a towel when it had gone through the washer and dryer but were never really washed. The smell was moldy When we contacted the property manager they provided a new set and they were a little better, but still didn't smell good.

Cute lil place...more like a motel then a Vrbo. Will definitely stay again if it's a 3 day trip. Wasent mentioned for 7 days, no stove, small fridge. BUT definitely better then a hotel, and walking distance to everywhere.
