About this house rental
Welcome to The Ellijay Octagon! We know that you will enjoy your one of a kind stay located in the Coosawattee River Resort. Enjoy a mountain experience just 6 miles from Downtown Ellijay, a few miles from several wineries and much more! You are near hiking, kayaking and tubing if you’re feeling adventurous.
Come play in our 2 bedroom /2 bath cabin with a bunk room giving you plenty of space for the whole family to spread out! The main level has a cozy screened in porch with a daybed, bistro table and egg chair to relax in. All bedrooms and baths are located on the main level along with a fully equipped eat in kitchen with seating for 6. Both bedrooms have a smart tv with Netflix, Hulu, HBOMax and Disney+ and built in usb on both side tables for easy charging. The basement is a dream for kids and kids at heart with ping pong, board games, 2 arcade machines and a seating area with a smart tv. The upstairs loft has room for everyone to curl up and watch a movie or send the kids downstairs while the grown ups enjoy card games on our convertible poker/bumper pool/ dining table. The entrance to the 7 foot slide is also in the loft - weeee!
From the upper deck you can enjoy the panoramic views of the forest, full of deer and other wildlife from the 6 person jetted hot tub. There is also a firepit so you can sit by the fire or roast marshmallows under the stars. Grill out with the charcoal grill and enjoy outdoor eating at the picnic table.
Coosawattee River Resort is home to 3 pools - one heated indoor pool that it open year round and 2 outdoor pools that open May 31st. A one day amenities pass is included with your stay and additional days may be purchased at $15/day.

We visit Ellijay twice a year and stay somewhere new each time. The kids had a BLAST! The check in process was smooth as usual with Coosawattee’s front ranger station type setup. And access to the actual property was short and simple. We also appreciated the proximity to the main indoor pool, putt putt and arcade. But we only visited those amenities once this time because the Octagon shaped cabin had so much fun inside! The hot tub, the SLIDE, poker with friends, arcade games, board games, foosball and so on. As parents, we appreciated that the kitchen and main area was on a different level than the video games, the kids loved having their own basement to play in. The coffee setup was a lovely surprise full of Kcups and syrups and cute mugs. If you don’t like Teflon pans then I’d suggest bringing your own, they need to be replaced for sure. Otherwise the kitchen seemed to have a close to full setup! Also I really noticed how clean the place was, even the shower drain! The thermostat worked well and the closets had extra blankets and pillows, so cozy. The front porch made for a wonderful place for morning tea and devotions and we liked the backyard a lot too. The beds were comfortable and sturdy and each of us liked the loft area with huge beanbags! Our kids slept well after going up the stairs and barreling down the slide. We never ran out of towels or soap in our 3 night stay, it was amply supplied. For the price, this place was great! Highly recommend

We took two of our youngest grand children, ages seven and five year old boys .. had a blast! They loved the slide and the hot tub, and of course the indoor pool. On Easter Sunday, the rest of their family came up, and we had Easter lunch together and hung out. The older grandchildren loved the game room downstairs. We also enjoyed having access to the Disney stuff for the little ones. All in all a very quick, but memorable trip over spring break!

The kids loved the slide, beanbags, arcade games, hot tub, going for a walk and seeing deer. This was the perfect getaway for a family of 7. Such a neat place to stay. We will definitely be back.

We loved our stay at the Ellijay Octagon! The kids had a nonstop good time and it was fun to watch them really enjoy the family time. The place and neighborhood was great and close to all the N GA action. We’ll definitely be back. Easy process and everything was move in ready.
