About this house rental

Located in South Padre Island, this lovely house for $570 per night is a great choice for your next break. The Opal Wave is wonderful 3-bedroom, 3.5 bathroom private home with a pool, featuring two stories, a two-car garage, and plenty of space to accommodate up to 13 guests comfortably. When you're ready to be in the sun and by the waves, the public beach access is just a 2-minutes walk from the front door! Its central location puts you and your guests within walking distance to shops, entertainment venues, restaurants and much more, making it perfect for a family getaway, or a weekend retreat with friends! The first floor features a spacious kitchen, dining and living area, a half bath, and a master suite with a closet room and private bath. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything from forks to coffee maker, allowing you & your guests to prepare meals at ease. Reverse osmosis drinking water in the kitchen. The living room features a 65-inch smart TV and gives access to the private back yard & sparkling swimming pool! The Master suite is on the first floor with King size bed, a single bed in the large closet room off the master bedroom, smart TV, a private Master bathroom with double vanity, large soaking tub and stand alone shower. There is also a single bed under the staircase on the first floor. The first floor sleeps 4 comfortably. Two additional bedrooms are located on the second floor, both with own private full bathroom attached. Each room is equipped with a queen size bed and a twin-over-twin bunk bed. Each bedroom has its own flat screen TV with Netflix and Prime Video. There is a rollaway bed in the closet that can be taken to either bedroom for additional sleeping. The second floor sleeps 9. We provide everything you would need to feel like home! All beddings are provided for the beds that you would need -- sheets, pillows, pillowcases, and comforters/quilts. Plenty of bath towels, beach towels, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, toilet paper, trash bags. Four Smart TVs in the house (every bedroom has its own TV) with live streaming of sports and shows. Family-size refrigerator. Two coffee makers, one traditional and one Keurig. The kitchen is fully equipped with cutting boards, non-stick pans of different sizes, baking pans, pyrex baking dishes, cooking utensils, plenty of plates, cups, glasses, silverware, and napkins. The property has a washer and dryer in the garage for guest use. The garage can park two sedans or one SUV/truck. There are beach chairs, wagon, canopy, and toys for guest use. House has exterior cameras for security monitoring. No cameras in the backyard pool area or inside the house. House can park maximum 6 cars on premise. House-trained pets allowed with $100 fee per pet per stay. See additional house rules. Nightly price is set for 8 guests during the peak season (from Memorial Day to Labor Day) and 6 guests during the non-peak season. Additional guest fee ($50 per person per night) will be added for groups more than those limits till the maximum of 13. Guests must indicate your exact number of guests at booking and the quote will reflect that. Early check in or late check out is subject to a fee (exact amount depending on your requested check in and check out time) and it is only possible when the house is not booked the same day. This property is registered with the City of South Padre Island STR Permit No. 2023-0695.

At the last minute on a Saturday we decided to see if we could find a South Padre rental that a) had a private pool, b) allowed three not-small dogs, and c) was on or very close to the beach. This property fit the bill very nicely! The pool isn't large but it was very nice, and so refreshing after the beach. There's also an outdoor shower/rinse station to get de-sandy before jumping it the pool. The beach is like a block away, an easy walk. We had great weather and surf for boogie-boarding. We brought our three dogs and the loved it as well. There was lots of room, nice kitchen with good tools and eating ware. Good internet and TVs as well. Right next door is a great taqueria, with another just across the street, both delicious. One store fiwn is a GREAT surf/beach shop that we were in every day. Overall we loved our trip, and the host was very communicative and helpful!

Property was clean, check in process was seamless, Peggy could not of been anymore attentive to answer questions. The tent was missing and she had one delivered the very next morning. Can’t wait until next summer to return!

This property was nice and conveniently close to the beach but the property management could put a little bit more TLC into the place and the amenities to make it a little bit more comfortable for guests. A little maintenance on ceiling, fans and door knobs, etc. is needed. And simple things like having cooking oil, salt and paper towels and nicer 2 ply toilet paper, and board games for guests would be nice. Also silverware that doesn’t bend or fall apart and knives that are broken would all make the stay a little bit nicer. Basically it felt like they stocked the house with as little as they could and as cheap of items as they could get away with. Shade options at the pool would be nice too

We loved all the room and the setup in each bedrooms. The bed was comfy and close to alot of things for walking and restaurants and shopping. Only thing we were disappointed was the pool wasnt heated..loved our stay and would come back!

Took us about 5 minutes to wander down to the beach with two old, slow, English bulldogs. The house is so spacious and clean! The backyard pool is beautiful, and we enjoyed watching movies on the huge living room tv every evening. Breakfast at the Mexican restaurant right next door was stellar, and they have a little import store right there in the restaurant. (Restaurant closes at 3, so no noise from there in the evening!) Rent this house, you'll love it!!

House was clean and kitchen well-stocked. All pictures in house were taken down or removed but all hooks and nails still there which was a little odd. Kind of eery… Pool is only about 4’ deep with no chiller so water stays really warm, especially in the afternoon. Not refreshing at all on hot days… Overall, the stay was good, though.

We really enjoyed our stay at the property. The location was great, we were only a 5 min walk to the beach. The house was clean and well stocked with hand soap and towels. My son loved the pool, so our next home will definitely have one.

Overall the property was in good condition, the weather was fantastic and the walk to the beach was more like 10 minutes but if you run you might make it in 2 minutes, lol. Unfortunately the refrigerator which had a Non- working digital control panel was very slow to cool so we had to put our perishable items in the freezer. The trash disposal was also non functional which caused the sink to back up, and to make matters worse the shower head in the first floor bathroom broke right off which makes me think the previous renters just did a quick patched-up work. Honestly other than that, our family had a great time enjoying spending time together. the swimming pool was small but fun and the gas grill was dirty with leftovers from the previous renters. Having a great vacation is mostly what you make of it. It would've been nice to be compensated some how for the shortcomings of this property, but Se' La Vi...
