Great cheap room in the middle of Madrid. There is an amazing flea market on a Sunday that fills the entire neighbourhood. It is close to supermercados and places to eat out. Randomly there was a shower in our room which turned out to be very useful as it gets very hot in summertime. Nice simple room
Spanish phone number required for self check in. However, people are often coming and going from the apartment so if you don't have a phone number you generally don't have to wait too long before someone lets you in.

Close to center of action and neat and accessible utilities.
Old and outdated furniture and fittings, bathrooms were a bit outdated and yucky.
