The resort is very well located, surrounded by nature, and the area was very peaceful and relaxing. We really liked the French atmosphere and the traditional Basque-style houses, which gave the place a lot of character.
The swimming pool was great, and the fun showers were a big hit with the children. There was also a hammam, which was a nice extra.
The sea is very close, and there are plenty of lovely walks nearby. Overall, a beautiful and peaceful location, especially if you enjoy nature and being close to the coast.
The apartment was not properly cleaned when we arrived, and our beds were not made during our stay.
There were only two small washing machines for the entire complex, and we were never able to use them because they were always occupied.
There was no entertainment or suitable activities for children under five.
There were also far too many rules and restrictions. We were required to wear a wristband throughout our entire stay. At the end of the stay, we were expected to remove and take the dirty bed linen ourselves, which made us feel more like we were staying in a self-service facility than in tourist accommodation.
Basic items were not readily available (and the bed linen were dirty). We had to ask for a toaster, and the hairdryer had to be requested at reception and could only be kept for two days.
The bunk beds were located directly in the entrance area, which cannot really be considered a proper bedroom — it was more like a hallway. The overall layout made us question whether the accommodation met the expected standards.
The bed itself appeared to be a basic IKEA bed and was far too small. My feet stuck out at the end, and I am of average height (although I am very handsome, to be fair!).
Overall, the lack of service, basic amenities and comfort made the experience disappointing.
