About this house rental
Nestled in Door County, this charming house for $425 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Update for 2023: New floors were installed on the first floor. New pictures coming soon. Relax and enjoy sunsets at this beautiful bay shore rental. Enjoy watching the sunset from the shoreline deck, the seasonal dock, the large house deck or any of the big water-view widows. You can also paddle the beautiful coastline with the 2 kayaks we provide with this property. Located just south of Egg Harbor and just north of Sturgeon Bay, you are in the the perfect location to enjoy all that Door County has to offer. When you're tired of water and sunsets, The Stone Duck is across the street from the Bayshore Blufflands State Natural Area where you can enjoy nature walks and see the Niagara Escarpment (rocky bluffs formed from glaciers millions of years ago). We are short drive north to Murphy Park, a water front park with a sand beach and boat launch. Enjoy easy access to Egg Harbor and Sturgeon Bay for amazing restaurants and shopping. And no need to bring groceries with you, we are located a short drive to Walmart and Target in Sturgeon Bay. The Stone Duck has 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The second floor features 2 bedrooms (one with queen bed and the second with two sets of bunk beds) and a full bath with tub. The main level has a large fully stocked kitchen including dishwasher and a dining table that seats 8. A living room with TV (with Roku stick for streaming shows and movies), sofa, love seat, comfy chair and puzzle/gaming table. One bedroom with a king bed. A full bathroom with a large standup shower. Step out the of the sliding glass door to the large deck with patio dining table and chairs, or relax on the outdoor love seat and chairs. If that's not enough, then walk down to the chairs on the water-side deck or enjoying roasting s'mores around the fire pit. Gas and charcoal grill are provided for all your BBQ needs. There is also a seasonal dock with a large area for sitting or for access to the water via the ladder (the dock is put in around June and taken out in September). We do allow you to bring your well-behaved dog for a $25 per night fee. Please don't forget to include your dog when booking. We do ask that you leash your dog when outside. Internet/WiFi - We have Starlink internet that provides fast, reliable internet speeds. It can on occasion get slowed down during bad storms, but this is pretty rare. We have also installed a cell phone booster that boosts the signal of cell service providers. It helps with our Verizon service, but unsure of the results on other carriers. During peak season this property books Saturday to Saturday and has a 3-day minimum during off-peak season. The house sleeps 8 people (1 king bed, 1 queen bed, and 1 bunk room with 2 sets of bunk beds). Cancellations - Travelers who cancel at least 60 days before check-in will get back 100% of the amount they've paid. If they cancel after that point, they will not get a refund. However; if they cancel less than 60 days, we will make every good faith effort to re-rent the House for the same period and rental amount, and if successful, the entire rental amount will be returned minus a $100 service charge. Note - we do have a video doorbell for security purposes.

The property was very nice and perfect for our two families. This was my first time to Door County. Very beautiful and serene. It definitely would have been a better trip in the summer so that we could enjoy the lake and all of the fun summer activities. We knew that going in. We hiked on the closest street. I'm sure there were hiking trails we could have driven to, but decided to stay close to the property. The neighbors were very nice and the owners were very accomodating. This was a perfect little winter getaway for us.

The Stone Duck is one of the most comfortable, well-appointed cottages we've had the pleasure of renting. The location is an ideal spot to just sit and stare at the water (which we did - a lot!) or use as home-base to explore all that Door County has to offer. It's truly an exceptional property.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Stone Duck and it did not disappoint! The house was exactly as pictured (now with updated flooring which was great), very comfortable and with all the amenities wanted. The outside was even better, and we enjoyed many a morning and evening on the decks, dock, and at the firepit. Our stay at the Stone Duck made our entire Door County trip that much more enjoyable, and if we come back to the area we would definitely stay again. We recommend to anyone looking to explore the area as a fantastic base of operations! Thank you Laughlins!

This property is as described. Master is on first floor which was perfect for my in-laws. Other bedrooms are upstairs. We had plenty of space for 5 adults. The back deck is large and has excellent views of the lake. There is also plenty of seating closer to the water. The location was close to many activities. We enjoyed our visit and would definitely stay here again! Great place for a relaxing vacation!!!

We felt at home immediately. The property inside and out was clean and well cared for. We loved the well designed large porch overlooking the Bay. We had a campfire by the water each night. Very private and quiet. Loved finding the Expen that we could use to block off the deck stairs allowing the dog to be out on the porch as well. So great to be on vacation with my dog. This property was ideal for us. Beautiful sunsets every night on the deck, easy access to walking trail and kayaks! The perfect location between Sturgeon Bay and Egg Harbor was quiet yet so close (short drive) to the busy towns. The house was exactly as described and very comfortable. Andrew was very responsive. We would love to spend more time at the Stone Duck!

Beautiful vacation spot!
Our family of 7 stayed at the Stone Duck for a week. It was absolutely wonderful! The house and the views are exceptional. The house was very clean and well-stocked. The access to the lake was amazing. We enjoyed the kayaks and stand-up paddleboards very much. Clear and quick communication with the owner made our vacation very easy and stress-free. We would love to stay here again!

The house was perfect for our family of 6. It came stocked with everything you could think of to make your stay easy and enjoyable. Our favorite amenity had to be the two kayaks that were included. The house was very clean, situated in a great area to enjoy the peacefulness and relaxation of the water, and was convenient to everything Door County has to offer. Another beautiful trip to Stone Duck
This was our 2nd visit to The Stone Duck. We loved it so much last summer that we chose it again this summer! The views and access to the bay are absolutely priceless! We love paddle boarding, kayaking, playing in the water, and experiencing the most beautiful sunsets. Beyond the outdoor aspect, the home itself is perfect…spacious and well-stocked. We love the update to the deck railings! Andrew is fantastic to work with as well! Everything about The Stone Duck is stellar, and we absolutely plan to make more memories there in the future.
