About this house rental
Renovation just completed to this is a Two story Town home unit 44 with 2 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. Master bedroom faces south and has a King and a new washer and dryer in the closet! Guest bedroom has double beds and bunk beds which have a twin on top and double on bottom. Living room has a queen sleeper sofa and will sleep 9 people. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans. Kitchen is fully stocked with dishes and appliances. There is also a long breakfast bar with stools. First floor has tile and second floor has carpet. The view that this unit offers is spectacular. Down the middle of the property overlooking pool, courtyard and gulf. Enjoy sunrises and sunsets from two different balconies overlooking property. A short 75 yard walk to beach through a manicured courtyard and you will be playing in the emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico! Centrally located to the pool, game room, coin laundry, and BBQ grills. Unit sleeps 8 Non Smoking
Beach Service – If you didn’t pre-reserve beach chairs, just stop by the beach hut or call the Excel team at In addition to chairs and umbrellas, Excel offers kayaks and paddle boards for rent, as well as an assortment of snacks and drinks.
Tennis, Basketball, Pickleball, and Shuffleboard – Forget your gear? No worries, you can check out rackets, balls, and more at the front desk at no charge!
Grilling Out – In the busy months of spring and summer, many families opt to grill out rather than go out. We have eight charcoal grills available. There are several seafood markets nearby, including Blalock’s which is just a block to the west (p.s., their tuna dip is a must try!).
Fitness Center – Did you know we have a fitness center in the Penthouse building? Just stop by the front desk to borrow the key.
Family Activities – There’s always something fun on the itinerary at Silver Dunes:
• Annual Easter Egg Hunt in the Courtyard – Easter Sunday, 9 am in the courtyard
• Scavenger Hunts – Throughout the Spring – for children of all ages! Just stop by the office to pick up your scavenger hunt necessities. Once you’ve collected everything, stop back by the office to pick a surprise from the Silver Dunes treasure chest!
• Movies in the Courtyard – Bring a picnic blanket, your beach chairs, and join us on Mondays at dusk throughout June and July. We show a different family-friendly movie each week.
• S’mores Nights with Live Music at the Pool –Wednesday nights are awesome at Silver Dunes! Throughout June and July, the firepits will be out, s’mores roasting, and tunes playing!

Great condo. Love the townhouse layout and the view looking toward the beach is tremendous. Very comfortable living and extremely well equipped with everything we needed. Silver Dunes staff are always friendly, helpful and professional.

This unit is awesome for the space. Two levels, great for families, and updated kitchen. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed to cook. The bathrooms are in the smaller side and could use some updating, but it wouldn’t prevent us from staying here again. The views from these top floors is beautiful. Second year to Silver Dunes and we will be back!

Our stay was awesome. Condo is close to everything and it was very clean! It was a great place to stay! One of the tvs was missing an hdmi cable and we ran out of hot water often (trying to bathe a family of 6) which wasn’t a big deal once we got use to it. Everything else worked great!

First of all, I love Silver Dunes and Still do after at least 20 different stays over the years.
Unit 44 could be a very nice unit. Here are my suggestions fwiw.
Replace A/c Unit and add a second one for second floor bedrooms. Although the maintenance people showed promptly, all they did was shut some vents and open others. I left it at that because I saw fans sitting on four or more tables and new that it was an ongoing problem. Even with all fans on and temperature set at 67 degrees, it never got below 74 degrees in the unit. Comfortable for some but not for me.
Furniture is nice and comfortable as are the beds and it is decorated fine and the kitchen has been updated but generates a lot of heat which is what I was trying to avoid.
I think all 2 1/2 baths need to be completely renovated and decorated.
I did book next years trip but in a different unit.
Hope I am not hurting anyone's feelings but just telling you how I feel.
Lastly, As far as the entire property goes. Very clean and staff very nice. I experienced 2 elevator outages with one being the Saturday morning we were leaving. I did not really think I was going to be able to get all of the luggage down 4 flights of stairs, but after an hour of sweating profusely, was able to get on the road an hour later than I intended. This lead to about an hour and a half to my trip home as it put me in the high traffic areas at the wrong times. I hope that management recognizes this huge inconvenience and offers an olive branch (Credit) for next year. I am returning because it truly is a wonderful place for my grandchildren and nieces and nephews. We had 6 or seven condo's for the week and hope to have at least that many in 23.
