First of all, this property is not very well taken care of. There were a lot of burned-out light bulbs, broken hanging light fixtures, a hot tub, the movie theatre ripped apart, no internet service, roaches, a broken oven that would not close, tables with three legs, remotes, and no batteries or backs. My family was stuck outside for 2 hours, delayed check-in after riding from long distances, and had to grill in the pitch dark to feed the children. It was a combination of issues that made me never want to return. The reason why we chose this cabin was for the amenities that were broken. It was a total waste of money for an expensive New Year's weekend.

DO NOT BOOK THIS CABIN. The one thing I really liked about this cabin was the location. But that was close to the only thing I liked. I honestly don't have enough space to write all of the issues, but there were SO MANY. It was dirty, one hot tub apparently has a leak, the deck railing upstairs was broken and a hazard, there was no internet, the beds were squeaky and uncomfortable, and one upstairs bedroom had absolutely no power. After MULTIPLE increasingly angry calls and emails, we gave up trying to get it fixed. Their solution was to send a lamp and an extension cord, which someone proceeded to trip over and injure themselves. All of this was so frustrating to say the least, and it really marred what was otherwise a fun vacation. I definitely wish I’d booked a different cabin though.

Upon arrival with great expectations because the location was beautiful….that was the end of that. We had a large group of 18. Home needs to be closed for a week of maintenance, replenished with household items and DEEP CLEANING. All 3 kitchen area tables are sticky, not because they are dirty, but because of the old varnish. Be careful because a couple of chairs and a bench at the tables were unstable. Kitchen missing basics. Electrical stove not working properly. Ovens need cleaning! Half of the power outlets in the kitchen did not work. Some were also loose and wouldn’t hold the plug. Blind and curtain valances throughout entire house needs cleaning. All bed blankets and comforters need cleaning. Huge chocolate stains in master bedroom bed bottom cover. NO extra towels, blankets or sheets. We wore socks all the time because the floors were not clean. Looked like splashes of something on the ceiling in the entryway. NO internet. Be prepared to use your own hotspots. (Very deceiving because all the homes routers with log in information was sitting right at the kitchen counter) For 2 days we were led to believe someone would come by until the Property Manager indicated the owner shut it off. Therefore NO streaming. Only DIRECTV. However in the Theatre room the Direct TV cord was cut and you can only use a DVD to watch. Even then it was intermittent. Theatre seats unstable. Cobwebs everywhere…couldn’t someone sweep them off? Cockroaches in a few rooms. Master bedroom shower door off track making it dangerous…. All mattresses need replacing, squeaky and uncomfortable. All carpets in all bedrooms need deep cleaning. Both spas were dirty, with one being half full. NO operational manual. (It was online, but how can you see it without internet?) We use VRBO rentals twice a year and this was by far the worst we have ever experienced. We spoke to the property office the first day. They said they would send someone over, but nobody ever came the entire week we were there. They also said a monetary credit would be considered, but we have yet to hear anything. This is the first time we have every reviewed a home negatively and hope it’s our last.

Nice setting. Large enough for what we needed. Upon closer inspection though, there were little things not so good. NO WIFI! One hot tub NOT working. Lots of spider webs on the porches. Received email on day of check-in that cooktop was not workingl Main floor bathroom shower doors were hard to slide. Kitchen floor was dirty. We had to call for extra sheets and blankets as none were to be found in any closet. I think there should be some refund since 2 pretty big amenities were not available, WiFi and the second hot tub.

The very worst was that the previous occupants threw up in the upstairs bedroom and it did not get cleaned up (disgusting) Needed more pots and pans. We would do it again but now know what to look for. All of the staff was polite especially Kiara. Wish the owners would have decorated for Christmas at least a tree!

The house is nasty and needs to have a thorough cleaning and mattress replaced due to soiling and the curtain looked like they had never been washed. Tons of dust and cobwebs. Think twice before booking here.
