After traveling the world for over a quarter of a century, I don’t easily get blown away. I love staying in high-end, posh hotels, but Arya Arkananda Resort and Spa completely reset my standards. Officially, this property holds a 4-star rating. In reality? It is easily a 5-star PLUS experience. During my eight-day stay, I actively tried to find minor flaws—a tiny detail missed, a slip in service, anything. It’s simply impossible. The place is total perfection.
The Location & Vibe
Situated in the middle of the iconic Sayan rice fields, the setting is pure magic. Watching the sunrise over the lush greenery every morning is a core memory in the making. It’s not just a hotel; it’s a complete atmospheric experience that restores your peace the second you step foot on the grounds.
Spotless Cleanliness
The housekeeping standards are an absolute 10 out of 10. Fresh bed changes every two days, not a single speck of dust anywhere, and a level of attention to detail that puts multi-thousand-dollar resorts to shame. Spotless from edge to edge.
Food & Unexpected Perks
Breakfast is incredible—colorful, delicious, fresh, and the absolute best way to start the day. But what really shocked me was the flexibility. You can enjoy your meal or drinks in the restaurant, right by the pool, or served straight to your room with zero extra charge. That level of freedom and service without hidden costs is exceptionally rare.
World-Class Spa
I’ve tried spas all over the world, but the Balinese spa experience here is next-level. The therapists are so skilled and professional that I drifted off into complete relaxation almost immediately. You leave feeling fully recharged.
The Heart of the Resort: The People
What makes Area Arkananda truly unbeatable is the staff. It feels like they can literally read your mind—before you even realize you need something, they are already there with a smile, ready to help.

Second time stay, always enjoy the staff and thw surrounds.
Unfortunately, it's definitely gone downhill since my last stay. How can you miss the mould on the pillows and the bathroom wasn't clean. No compensation...
2x single beds put together in our room.
We were ignored at breakfast on our last morning....
