Come enjoy this fully restored 1935 cottage in the historic district of Apalachicola, located less than 2 blocks from charming downtown restaurants, shops, parks, and the marina. Fenced yard and deck for morning coffee or evening cocktails. Street parking for 1 vehicle. Beautiful, chef's dream kitchen perfect for cooking up that fresh catch. 15 minute drive to the pristine beaches of St. George's Island. **Note this property also has a guesthouse on the premises called Oystertown Loft that is a rental as well and shares the back porch common area. When available, you can rent both spaces to accommodate larger parties.

This property was exactly as described, appropriately equipped, and in the perfect location for staying in Apalach and walking anywhere you’d like to go.
We ran into one minor snafu checking in and the property owner was quick respond and resolved the issue almost immediately so we were able to enjoy our stay without issue.
The only item travelers should be aware of is that there is an adjoining property that can be rented separately by another party. This would have been awkward for sharing the patio space, walkways, and gated entrance with strangers but an amazing arrangement if you are traveling with friends.
Bottom line: recommended for sure! We hope to stay here again.

I thought this cottage was perfect for our short Christmas visit. It worked out great for my dog and I. The fenced in area was a great surprise that allowed my dog some exploration space. I’ll be booking again!

I am actually honored to write this review. I have used VRBO on numerous occasions and I can honestly say this was THE BEST rental I have ever had. Small cottage feel that was extremely clean with new appliances, well appointed, with comfortable bet. All within a very easy walk around town. The owner has thought about everything to make you very comfortable. I will definitely be returning to this location for an extended stay. Don’t hesitate to rent this property!! Thank you to the owner!!!

Wonderful cottage for a couple to relax in for a weekend or week. Walking distance to all restaurants and shops in Apalachicola. Easy access and parking. Nice landscaping. Cottage clean. Surprisingly quiet.

The rental had a lot of charm from earlier times with modern amenities. It was well equiped with all we needed. The surrounding garden was great as well as areas to sit outside. Two blocks from downtown and pet friendly.

The property is nice, in a great location, packed with history. Renters need to know there is another rental on the same property. Curtains or shades need to be placed on kitchen and dining room windows. Guest walking by can see right in.

This cottage is well stocked with everything you need for your stay. Very clean inside. The outside garden area needs some attention. We did not know that there is two different rentals inside the property. This would be an issue with our two dogs not being able to walk inside the enclosed garden area.

Great location which is why we chose it… Just a short walk to downtown Apalachicola. The bed was extremely comfortable, nice and quiet, we were blessed with not having anyone in the house behind us on the same property. Overall, very enjoyable, property could definitely use a little bit of TLC in regards to the exterior garden area.

We love this little cottage. Our 2nd stay and will not be our last. Great location to get to all the bars and restaurants. We parked the car and didn’t get back in until we checked out.

My husband and I rented the Oystertown Cottage and our friends rented the Oystertown Loft behind the cottage. This is the second time my husband and I have rented the cottage and we have loved it both times. It is perfect for the two of us and total bonus it is pet friendly. The location is perfect and we love the cottage/property. We didn't have a need to contact the property manager since we have stayed there before but they have always been available if we needed them. I look forward to staying here again next year for my birthday.

The house is very clean, and the overall is good. The courtyard is beautiful. It's just kitchen and shower the water is too small.

Clean quiet cottage near restaurants and brewery. Walking distance to museums and water. Loved sitting on the porch with coffee and walking along the river. Watching Santa and the Grinch come to town via a shrimp boat was great.

The cottage is in a perfect location 1 block from downtown. The rooms are very spacious and the kitchen is well equipped. My only negative would be the one bedroom is right off the livingroom and there is no bedroom door. This makes it tricky when you have a spouse who goes to bed earlier than you do. I would recommend adding a door to the bedroom. Otherwise, the cottage is very comfortable.

Well stocked kitchen, clean linens, proximity to downtown was great, and tons of beautiful vegetation surrounding property. There was a slight musty odor indoors that was present throughout stay - reminded me of an old lake cabin, but overall it didn’t bother me. All in all, the stay was great and I would stay at the property again.

The property has a distinctly musty odor. It’s very clean, with a comfortable bed, and terribly uncomfortable, old sofa with springs that poke you in the rear. There are two coffee makers but one, the carafe is too small and the coffee doesn’t come out. The shower works great but the hot water at the pedestal sink doesn’t work. The location is great.

The Oystertown cottage is one I’ve wanted to stay in for a while and did not disappoint. Cozy , well done interior, clean- great kitchen, bath and laundry room. Comfy bed!! Lively front porch for early morning and evening sitting! Location was perfect to walk in town and esp to view sunrise - short walk to park along water! Really lovely and will definitely be back! We love going to Apalachicola for our anniversary every year. This is the perfect place to stay. It’s within walking distance and the neighborhood is quiet. The porch is the best place to enjoy coffee and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

This was our second stay at Oystertown Cottage. It’s comfortable, well appointed with everything we needed. Amazing deck in the back. Walking distance to the downtown shops and restaurants. We love staying here when we visit.
