This house was perfect for exploring all that Delaware has to offer! Close to beaches and state parks and the house was extremely comfortable and clean. Will definitely be booking this house again for future vacations.

Beautiful, peaceful, exactly the getaway I needed!

This is a quiet location only about 2 miles from the city of Milford. The lake is small but pretty and it was fun to paddle the kayaks and watch the sunset/sunrise. The beds were very comfortable and there were air conditioners in 2 windows and ceiling fans in most rooms so the environment was well controlled. We especially enjoyed the k-cups provided for our morning coffee. The grill was another great bonus and Helen was quick to reply when we couldn't find matches to light it (they are under the sink). Very happy with the 6 nights we spent at the cottage.

It was a peaceful, restful, quiet, relaxing, comfortable, friendly and lovely place to stay.

Grandma’s cottage was everything as expected. Perfect for peace and quiet when we were not on the lax fields. Cottage was well equipped for all our needs and things we forgot to pack. Enjoyed morning coffee watching Mother Nature …turtles, frogs, hummingbirds to name a few. Having the washing machine for dirty uniforms was super convenient. Being a host myself I have high expectations on cleanliness and the cottage was immaculate! I highly recommend and will stay again for our next DE Turf trip. Thank you Helen!

The place was close to turf fields. Quiet and easy morning drive to lacrosse. Cooked food on bbq and kitchen. The washer and dryer were new. Made for a great stay.

Grandma's cottage was absolutly beautiful. Comfortable. Included thoughtful extras. Lovingly decorated. The house sits on a lovely lake full of wildlife and surrounded by lots of trees and plants. The deck and chairs overlooking the lake are hard to leave behind; it was so pleasant and private. If we go back to Milford, we will certainly plan to stay with Grandma again.

I don’t normally give reviews but this is a must. If you’re looking for a quality and peaceful place to go this is it. Hopefully you will be as blessed as I was. ~A

I enjoyed the rustic yet elegant feel of Grandma’s Cottage. I spent several a days visiting my family nearby and had this lovely place to come back to each night to have a bit of time “recharging my battery.” I highly recommend this tranquil retreat.

Grandma’s Cottage was the perfect home and setting for us to visit family in the area. The cottage is very clean, beds and linens good quality and extremely comfortable, kitchen is well equipped and the home furnishings (inside and out) are in good condition and quite comfortable. Walter and Helen have put a lot of thought into what is needed to create a comfortable setting for their guests to make them feel at home. I had questions prior to and after booking the property, Walter and Helen were very responsive and helpful. They also were quite welcoming but clearly give guests their privacy. The cottage setting on Griffith Lake is beautiful, quiet and private. It is also convenient to nearby activities, restaurants, shopping, and beaches. My only regret is that we didn’t have more time to enjoy the cottage and lake. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful cottage!

This property is amazingly clean and the name fits. The view is very pretty and peaceful. We really enjoyed sitting by the lake with the fire going plenty of fire wood is provided. The cottage is tucked away but still convenient to stores and restaurants. The hosts were great!

We were looking for a place to go where we could have a relaxing time and not to have to worry about anything. We found that at Grandmas cottage. Other than to buy groceries at a nearby Walmarts,culture shock, we did not leave the cottage. We read books and spent some time watching geese. It was interesting to watch their behavior. The trip only took a little over an hour. We live in Chestertown and this was a positive factor because we are finding that long journeys are becoming tedious. There was nothing wanting it was all there.

If you are looking for a spot in Delaware that offers an immaculate cottage on a lovely lake, easy access to pretty much anything and everything you need, and wonderful, responsive hosts, look no further!
