About this house rental
Nestled in Sister Lakes, this attractive house for $431 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Cable Lake Cottage is located in the Sister Lakes area of Southwest Michigan. It is about 2 hours from Chicago, 45 minutes from South Bend, and less than 3 hours from Detroit. This charming, fully renovated, waterfront craftsman style cottage features 3+ bedrooms and 2 full baths with private beach and central air-conditioning. Our paddleboats, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, floating swim raft, and sand toys are included. A gorgeous new pier provides ample space for lounging and fishing. All new floors, brand new kitchen and bathrooms, new plumbing/electric/HVAC/water softener/well, and inviting decor will welcome you and give you the perfect luxury lake vacation. Wireless internet is ready for your use. When you're ready to relax, a smart TV provides access to your streaming apps (Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, etc) in addition to cable. On rainy days, choose from a selection of games or movies for a DVD player or Nintendo 64. Central air conditioning keeps you comfortable all summer. The home sleeps up to 12. Upstairs features a master bedroom with a king bed and a crib, a second bedroom with a queen bed and room for a provided pack and play, a third bedroom with two sets of twin bunk beds, and a flex space with a full bed. The lower level family room has a pull-out couch. There is a full bathroom conveniently located on each floor. The main level features a kitchen, family room, two dining areas, and a full bathroom with shower. The home is equipped with central air, heat, and a washer/dryer. Linens are provided. Our home has over 80 feet of private sand beach leading into the gradual entry lake. Excellent for kids! The floating swim raft with reclined seats and a slide offers the best seat in the house. The beach was re-sanded in June 2021 and is full of soft, clean sand. A new upper tier beach was built in June 2019 to provide beach space even when water levels are high. Adirondack chairs and a large bench are provided on the beach. The firepit in the sand is a magical place to end the day. The yard features a large playset with swings for kids and also a Step 2 climber for toddlers. There is over 1200sf of beautiful decking to welcome you comfortably to the outdoors. The front porch offers a quiet respite to enjoy the birds and trees. The upper level deck is on the lakeside and features comfortable sectional seating and breathtaking lake views. The lower level deck offers direct access to the kitchen and features two dining areas and additional seating. This home is located on the 90-acre Cable Lake, which is a private, non-motor lake in Sister Lakes, MI. This quiet, clean lake is perfect for stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, paddle boating, sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, and swimming. The fishing is outstanding on Cable Lake. Cable and the surrounding lakes offer fishing for panfish, bass, walleye, pike, and musky. The St Joseph river is a true fishing destination and just 20 minutes away. Depending on the time of year, renowned steelhead fishing, as well as coho and king salmon, walleye, smallmouth bass, pike, and panfish are available. We also have platted access to a dedicated boat launch less than 1/4 mile away for all-sport Little Crooked Lake, so bring your boats and water toys and enjoy the best of both worlds! Five additional all-sport lakes lie within a few miles of the property. Please note that some amenities are stored for winter during the low season. From approximately mid-October through end of April, the pier and swim raft are taken out, watercraft and sand toys are removed and stored for the winter, and outdoor furniture cushions are stored. Amenities are reinstated as soon as weather and conditions permit.

We had a good time on our vacation. The no wake lake was nice for fishing and swimming. The floating raft/slide was a big hit. Nice that we had access to the kayaks, paddle boat and pontoon. Kitchen was pretty stocked.

Our family had a great time at this property! The kids ..and us!... thoroughly enjoyed all the water equipment they provided! From paddle boating to kayaking to paddle boarding! Fishing was good too. My wife caught a few 15"+ bass and we caught a lot of good size blue fill and sunfish. The house is very spacious and clean. I'd also like to say that Kendra's communication was on point. Very responsive.

Our family enjoyed staying at the Cable Lake property! The location on Cable Lake was perfect for our children to play and swim! The beach was great and we enjoyed the kayaks and paddleboards. The house was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. We had an issue during our stay and the owners took care of the problem very promptly. We loved it!

Our stay was so fabulous! The house was everything pictured. Great living space and kitchen area for 6 adults, 1 baby and 2 dogs. The yard and water was great for swimming and hanging out. We loved everything about it!!!’ We will definitely be coming back!

The lake house met all our expectations. Plenty of room for our family of five adults and three children. Home was very clean,beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The kids had a great time using the kayaks and paddleboats and even caught a few fish. The house was close to several winery's that we visited as well as restaurants. Kendra was an excellent host and easy to contact. Looking forward to staying hear again next year.

The house was super cute & as described. We enjoyed the peace & quiet of the mornings with our coffee on the deck. Spent our afternoons soaking up the sun on the lake in the paddle boat. And evenings by the fire on the private beach area. Great little cottage if you’re looking to escape the hustle of every day life & just relax.

This is a very lovely cottage on a quiet lake. We really enjoyed our time but we did feel the mattresses and pillows need some upgrading. We flew in from out of state so it would have been helpful to have beach towels available. The hosts were very responsive and we had a good time but I hope these suggestions are helpful.

Family Fun!
The attention to detail was amazing and the options (both inside and out) were great! Owners responded quickly to questions and kindly offered assistance. There was plenty to do on the property for our wide range of family members which made for a wonderful family vacation! We would love to go back since no one really wanted to leave…what better compliment is there?!

This was the perfect vacation! The hosts had clear instructions and were communicative. The property was phenomenal, right on the lake. The kids loved the lake and small playground in the front. We would absolutely stay again in the future!

We highly recommend this house to anyone with small children looking to have a fun week on the lake! Overall, we loved this rental and will definitely be back!

The swing set in the front was also a big hit. I would recommend this rental to anyone wanting their own piece a paradise for just a week. Kendra and Adam were very easy to deal with. My family of 6 adults stayed here in July 21 and had a wonderful time. The description and pictures of this beautiful home are spot on. Everything was as expected. The open concept of the first floor and large breakfast nook facing the lake is great for indoor time, but the outdoor area and amenities is what makes this property perfect and where we spent most of our time. Very tranquil setting. Owner responded quickly to the text message (question ) I sent. Easy check in check out process. Property amenities were very nice. Travelled with a five month old baby and she slept in the crib (all night) like it was her own. Plenty of space to stretch out and relax. Definitely would stay here again

Relaxing Getaway
This house was perfect for our family of 5. There was plenty of room for my three kids to spread out and elearn. The house is very clean and comfortable. Great lake house for toddlers
We stayed at the lake house with my family and our two friends and their toddler. With 4 adults and 2 toddlers this house was very well equipped for children. So nice to have the comforts of home away from home. Also nice updated kitchen!
