We had a wonderful family stay at Marika Beach Hotel.
One of the things we really appreciated was the cleanliness. The cleaners were constantly working, keeping not only the rooms but also the common and outdoor areas very clean and well maintained.
The location is super convenient, with easy access to the beach, restaurants, shops and the surrounding areas. The private parking at the hotel was also a big advantage and made everything very easy, especially as we rented a car to explore Crete. Our room was comfortable and suitable for our family stay.
We would also like to mention the wonderful team at Waves Restaurant. The waiters were extremely friendly and always provided service with a smile. A special thank you to the Restaurant Manager for his professional service and for making us feel so welcome.
Although we only had dinner at Waves Restaurant once, this was simply because we wanted to explore the area and try different restaurants during our holiday. However, we were honestly very impressed. The selection of food, the quality of the food and especially the desserts were far beyond our expectations and, in our experience, stood out compared with other restaurants we tried in the area.
Overall, we had a fantastic family holiday and really enjoyed our stay at Marika Beach Hotel. The friendly staff, cleanliness, comfortable room, excellent location and convenient parking all contributed to a very enjoyable experience.

The availability of hot water in the shower was not consistent. On some occasions, there was no hot water at all and I was forced to use cold water, which was disappointing.
The sea directly in front of the hotel was quite rough during our stay. Of course, this is a natural condition and is completely outside the hotel’s control.
The swimming pools were also quite cold, which meant that we did not use them as much as we would have liked. Again, we understand that the temperature of the pools may be affected by the weather and other factors and is not necessarily something the hotel can control.

Very new and comfortable bedrooms. Pool and restaurant also very good. We had a good time there.
The beach right in front had stones but a little to the left was fine

Newly renovated rooms, modern and a really efficient air condition without noise!
Coffee and bar shope as well as the nearby italian restaurant belonging to the hotel were good with friendly staff.
Cleaning team amazing, they did a very good job.
The breakfast was poor, both in terms of selection, how it was presented and the choice. Hardly any local products, no fresh orange juice, fruit salade from the conserve, etc. Many products that could be easily be provided from local market in Crete, where imported, that is bad. Also for a 4star hotel the choice was poor, hardly any change from day to day. The hours of breakfast is limited to 10 am, this is not customer friendly especially for those who are on holidays. In our case we were on business. But first day, the so kind of buffet was still open at 10.02 am, I wanted to get a final coffee, not possible, no flexibility by the staff, instead, I had to buy one from the bar for 4 Euro. We then decided to have a real breakfast in another nearby hotel for additional costs, but at least we got what we expected for a 4start hotel.
Buying at the bar or in the nearby italian restaurant, although belonging to the hotel, it was not possible to put the bill on the hotel.
Presenting of room, balcony and pool in booking looks nicer and bigger than reality is.
Although there was an information that guests should not put their towels on the sun bed, everything was occupied early in the morning, also not being able to bring own food and drinks to the beach and the pool is surprising given the overprized menues that was offered.
