would recommend this hotel to everyone

the hotel is in a perfect location, close to the restaurants and the beach. It was clean and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Nice and cozy pool area.

Very good

Comfortable beds, quiet air con. Good breakfast. Friendly service.

Limited room around pool for sun loungers, some guests putting towels on loungers in middle of night. Children's area of pool was not clean with algae in the water, not that we used it but connected to main pool.

Very good

Great value for money. The rooms are simple but yet comfortable. Walking distance to the main street which offers great selection of restaurants and entertainment.

Even though the rooms were cleaned every day, shower amenities were not replaced. TV was too small.

Beautifully basic, relaxing yet everything close at hand

Clean, comfortable, very friendly staff, close to the main area of shops, bars & restaurants. Lovely pool area, only 22 rooms so quiet & personal. Thoroughly recommend for a relaxing week away

The fridge in our room was near to the bed & was quite noisy at night, the hairdryer was a bit broken. I'm really picking minor things that didn't affect our stay all, it wouldn't prevent us from returning either! Lovely little place for a reasonably priced week away

Best option for staying in Platanias with a beautifull view.

Beyond our expectations and hopefully we will come back. The location is really good, no traffic noise. Apartment was super clean,full of light but with good shades so if you dont like sunlight in the morning it wont be a problem. Bathroom was like in a 5* hotel. View from bedroom and balcony was dream like. Great staff and service, pool was very clean.

The Amaryllis was fabulous for our 2 week stay, the owners were brilliant and even before we checked in (at night) brought us 2 bottles of chilled water. Very much appreciated after a long journey.The complex was ideally located in platanias for trips,beach shopping etc. Very nice and quiet at night also plus extremely comfortable bed snd bed linen made for very good sleep. Would highly recommend to anyone holidaying here. An immaculately clean and comfortable, safe apt.to holiday in

A lovely little family hotel

Very centrally located in Platanias, but still far enough off the main street to make it wonderfully secluded and peaceful. The most gentle and helpful staff you could wish for. I felt at home here from the beginning to the end! Such a treat to stay at this low key but clean and stylish hotel. Will definitely return 😊

Don’t expect five star luxury, but a cozy home away from home.

- Distance to the beach and promenade /terraces - superb breakfast - Immense, good bed - Nice, helpful host

- very, very!! noisy drain pipe, every time someone flushes the toilet or took a shower we heard a strange noise that even wakes us up a few times - very loud street noise from the cars even in the night - easly noise from the maids

The rooms are clean and beautiful. Dimitri makes the best breakfast and is a great host. You feel very welcome.

Top choice

Dimitris and his family are very nice, they helped us with everything. The pool is fantastic, the breakfast is also perfect. Thank you, Dimitris, that you made our first trip as a family just perfect. Definitely recommend, and hope we will get back soon to Crete, and will not hesitate to stay at Amaryllis.

Great place, wonderful staff

Amaryllis offers a wonderful place for your stay on the east side of Crete. Platanias is a very nice and versatile town. The rooms are spacious and clean. One very nice detail is that you can flush your toilet paper, which sounds trivial, but is a precious luxury on the island of Crete. Dimitris, the manager, is always friendly, accommodating and fun. He can often be found manning the pool bar, where you can order a nice tosti, salad or gyros plate. I will definitely come back here.

Amazing staff

Dimitris was amazing, nothing was too much trouble for him and always gave us great pointers as to where to go regarding the island... After the first nights stay we wanted separate bedrooms and we was expecting to pay so we went and spoken to him and he didn’t want nothing for changing us rooms!! What a great gesture his words was “If you are happy, I am happy” Very friendly and always up for a chat. I can’t recommend this place enough and the fact it’s family run makes the world of difference. Lovely and clean rooms too! Great hospitality and myself and Rob would like to say our deepest thank you for making our stay a great one! When we return to Greece we will definitely be staying here! -Chris
