I booked Roosevelt Lodge as a last minute getaway for my 12 year old Son and I after a difficult year.
We were welcomed by Carl, who was very accommodating, offering to bring in our bags from the car.
I had booked a twin room, which was spacious with comfortable beds, tea and coffee making facilities and whilst some would view (as other reviews have suggested) the shower as small, it was hot and more than suitable for my Son and I.
The breakfast was meant to be £5 per person but Carl included for free as it was our first time visiting. It was freshly cooked, hot and very tasty. The breakfast room was also very relaxed and friendly with people who had visited before and knew Carl and his Dad - this is testament to a wonderful bed and breakfast!
Regarding location, this was excellent, only a 5 minute walk from the clock tower and the beach.
Parking spaces outside the property are a real bonus and I recommend requesting a space if travelling by car.
Overall a very warm, friendly and enjoyable stay, we would highly recommend.
If I was being really picky, I would recommend your towels could do with an upgrade.
Otherwise we could not fault anything, a really enjoyable stay, thank you.

Breakfast good, location good.
Cleanliness, needed a good hoovering everywhere, and en-suite was very grotty with black mould round shower
