Merlin Hotel İstanbul

They could improve on the breakfast; they served the same type of breakfast everyday. The location was great, many mini restaurants nearby and the metro is also not so far from the hotel

If you are looking for a comfortable, clean, safe, and well-located hotel in the Bakırköy–Ataköy area of Istanbul, I can definitely recommend Merlin Hotel. I stayed here for a total of 10 days and actually extended my stay for another 4 days because I was very happy with the hotel. I will also be staying another 4 days next week, which probably says a lot about my experience here. The staff are one of the best things about the hotel. Everyone is very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Whenever I needed anything or had a question, they were always ready to help. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and feels safe. The rooms are well maintained, and the overall atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing, especially if you are staying in Istanbul for several days. The location is also excellent. It is only around a 5-minute walk from the Marmaray station, which makes getting around Istanbul much easier. You can also easily reach the seaside, and it is a really nice area for taking a walk, especially in the evening. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes, bakeries, and shops around the hotel, and I found the food in the area to be both good quality and reasonably priced. You have everything you need within walking distance, so you don't have to travel far for everyday things. Another thing I really appreciated is that the hotel is in a quieter and more comfortable part of Istanbul while still being very well connected to the rest of the city. After spending long days working and walking around Istanbul, it was nice to come back to a place where I could relax. Overall, Merlin Hotel feels like a place where you can stay comfortably for a few nights or, like me, for much longer. The combination of friendly staff, cleanliness, safety, good location, transportation options, and the surrounding area makes it a very good choice. Location is perfect, walking distance to subway and bakirkoy shopping area

We arrived at 18u and although check in is way earlier the room was not ready and we had to wait quite long after a full day of travel. The place needs renovation, its old and not well kept. The floor in our room had holes and was not clean. The floor in the hallway also had big nasty stains. Its all very dated and the airco in the room didnt work. We asked the staff and they said it only heats and recommended us to open the window. Which was just 1 tiny window.
