Exceptional property! Lovely facility and amenities. Very welcoming.
Not a thing!

- Welcoming staff, very familial feel.
- Beautiful food
- Lovely decor and very clean
- Great location for a quiet break away
- The room was quite damp, I could feel it on the sheets and our clothes.
- The hotel has a restaurant and a bar (serves food). We arrived on a Saturday and were told both were open however when trying to book a table we were then told the restaurant was closed and the bar was almost fully booked via local use. They were accommodating and squeezed us in however it was concerning that we almost had nowhere to get food given the hotel is in an isolated location.

Such a quiet beautiful spot, central for touring the whole county. Lovely food, staff, bar area and extremely comfortable beds!

Excellent food, lovely staff. Comfortable, clean & nicely decorated property.
Bedrooms were a little small.

The food was nice but very little atmosphere in the bar restaurant
The rooms were extremely tight for space and very small beds, with no ventilation at all in the room. Our room had no toilet paper or fresh towels.
The website photos paint a different picture

The owner was lovely, the beds and pillows were so comfortable to the point I need to know the name of the bed company, (I took a photo of the pillow brand). The place was very clean and staff engaging. Lovely surroundings.
If I had to make a comment, and am only doing as I have been asked, it would have been nice to have an option of brown bread for breakfast. But please note there was a vast selection of other items and this does not quantify any lower grade then a 10!!!

Everything was perfect.
The hotel is located out in the country, hidden among the forest, with deer and pheasant running about.
Staff where 1st class from arrival to departure, and so so friendly.
Food was to die for and plenty of it.
The bar area with the peat burning fire was so cosy to sit and relax with a cold beer.
A real hidden gem and we will definitely be returning.
N/A as it was just perfect in every way.

Such a beautiful place....very welcoming and clean. The decor was out of this world, food and service were excellent. The three sisters who run this hotel deserve high praise. I highly recommend The Cedar Country Hotel and would definitely stay there again.
The hotel was excellent 😊 The bedroom was 'small/cosy' but there were lots of other very comfortable areas to sit and relax in throughout the hotel.
7.0
the quiet location and scenery
the beds are too small for senior citizens. A pity this was compromised when
furnished. Not sure if the property offered twin beds? if so it would have been a wiser choice

Comfortable bed, plenty of hot water, cleanliness, friendly young waitress
Exceptionally small bedroom with no wardrobe or chest of drawers so nowhere to put your clothes apart from 4 hangers on a wall rack. Only one small wooden dining chair provided to sit on.
No shelving in the bathroom except for a cupboard under the sink. No place to put a hand towel. No faceclot.hs and not even a glass for toothbrushes provided These are all things to be expected in any good quality hotel
Food passable but there was an extremely limited menu with no vegetable or salad choices available.

The Hotel decor was very nice & cleanliness was top notch, parking was good.
Room & bed too small, if you at least had a king bed one of the two would be good, the pillows way too soft, maybe one if each, soft and firm, the en-suite small nowhere to put your toiletries, and no hot water before 8 am on both mornings. The £10 for cooked breakfast overpriced, & the Continental breakfast inadequate, no cheese no ham, limited fruit, and cereal scarce, also food uncovered with flys about. Could use tea making facilities because there was nowhere to put it while in use and it was stored in a very awkward place. Overall not a happy experience, but the girls who run the Hotel were very nice.

Such a beautiful location,v peaceful and the staff were v accommodating to our needs. Definitely recommend it for those that would like to get away from the town life, but also v close to the surrounding towns.
Nothing comes to mind.

Everything was exceptional, the food, the decor, the staff were more than accommodating and the place is beautiful in such a serene setting. We will be returning for a longer stay the next time! We also had such a comfortable sleep and beautiful breakfast.

I would of liked a bath in the room we stayed in.

The staff / owners were brilliantly helpful, welcoming and efficient. The location is amazing - very quiet with owls and lots of other birds as well as sika deer roaming in the forest. Nestled within the Baronscourt estate, whose own titular background (Duke of Abercorn, etc.) reflects the unhappy to-ing and fro-ing of Ulster's history, there is a lot to see and reflect on if once you slow down to the pace of this tranquil spot. The hotel is an old school (now extended) house built in 1888 with lovely areas for sitting and reading. The breakfast / dining room is delightful.
Gortin Glen and the Sperrins are nearby with great walks up Mullaghcarn where you get amazing views of the Blue Stacks and Mount Errigal in Donegal (weather dependent, of course). Strabane and Omagh are both a 20-minute drive and it's only 40 minutes (when the traffic is clear) to/from Derry airport. If this isn't God's own country, then I'd like to claim it for myself.
The hotel has a nice 'wee bar' at the back with friendly staff, live music on a Saturday evening (when I was there), a very decent pint indeed and the locals are friendly. The breakfast also was very good.
The room I had didn't have a pleasant view (I guess not every room can have wonderful views, but I didn't ask for that anyway so this isn't really a complaint!) and it was a little cell-like, but it was perfectly functional and quiet, with a nice en-suite, a great shower and very clean. Wi-fi was somewhat intermittent but then again, you are out in the country here and 'intermittent' does mean that it worked most of the time.
The bar food menu was a bit lacking in much by way of veggie options but I have absolutely no doubt that the staff would have accommodated any food requests if I had asked. You get the feeling in The Cedar Lodge that anything you need is 'no bother at all' and in hospitality, that's 99% of it.
9.0
Fabulous hotel, very clean and well maintained throughout, room had very comfortable beds and pillows. Lovely bar on the premises with area outside to sit in the sun, the hotel is located in the middle of a forest and is so peaceful but used by locals for food and drink. Everyone was so friendly and the girls who own and work on property were so nice and wanted to do everything they could to make sure you had a good stay.
Excellent value for money
Only thing I would say could do with a bit more selection of meals in the evening, the food was good but a bit limited in choices.
