Azteca Villas was a great spot, with its own little pool and gazebo to enjoy the evening weather. The place was clean and had the basic tools to cook and enjoy the space. The manager and all of the staff there was fantastic and kind, helpful with food recommendation and giving directions. The AC was really nice in the bedrooms and did a decent job cooling the rest of the house down as well.

There could have been just a few more kitchen tools; like a wine opener and a few more glasses and bowls but we made do and it wouldn't affect me booking there again.

My mattress was a little too firm for my liking

The review is written on a backdrop of arriving within 10 days of a Cat 5 hurricane to attend my daughter’s wedding, so there was a lot of things the owner and staff could not control – such as no mains electric. But wow these guys are just the best, they worked so hard to ensure that I didn’t have to cancel and throughout my 9 days stay – my safety and well-being was paramount to them. They maintained the generator constantly until the solar panels could kick in. As a solo traveler, I was very mindful of my safety but didn’t have a worry, Omi was the first person I saw in the morning checking the property and the last person at night also checking. Communication with both Dean and Verona was just first class- I just cannot thank them enough. The accommodation is just everything you need- it is soooooooooooooooooooo clean and well maintained. Watching Cavel (the villa driver) tending the grounds- you would not know a Cat 5 hurricane has hit and just 100 yards away buildings/homes/boats were devasted. The accommodation feels like it is off the beaten track, it is so peaceful, the view from the roof balcony is just the best but 5 mins walk takes to the main street – due to the hurricane there was not much open, but Cavel drove me the supermarket/restaurants where I could get what I needed. He was also a wealth of information as I had never been to Treasure Beach before. He made me feel safe to travel around. The internet was strong enough that I was able to work from there with no glitches. The property is also child friendly as my 2-year-old granddaughter stayed with me at the property for a couple of days, whereby there was lots of laughter from her in the swimming pool (which was very clean) but with shady parts for Nannie!!! She also met next doors goat which was just a surprise and a joy. I would highly recommend the property, not just for the building and facilities, you come as a stranger and leave as family!
