The aesthetic was lovely, bed was super comfortable as well. Shower was brilliant (loved the inclusion of rituals shampoo as well)
Expensive and no complementary option for tea/coffee. We were seemingly down the road from a nightclub as well which was extremely noisy on a Saturday night

The property is amazing and beautiful and is in a very convenient location, a short walk to all the attractions, but in a quiet road to escape it all and with a supermarket close by We were very lucky and had the property almost completely to ourselves (others had accommodation for two nights in the top of the house but we didn't see them) and so we could relax in the lounge or garden most evenings. A well stocked fridge with drinks is available to buy through an honesty box - which we used on our last night and is a great touch. Michelle although not there for our stay was very quick to respond to our queries and fully accommodated an early check in and allowed us to keep our cases there until we had to leave for the Eurostar - and we were sad to leave!
It is quite hard to find anything - but because Europe is in the grip of a heatwave and the building is very old and doesn't have Air Con (I did check) both rooms come with fans. Although these are quite noisy and sound like they are giving out some power, in fact they are useless and generated very little air movement, so the rooms were very hot at night. As the windows open inwards and there are blinds on them you are also unable to open these fully at night, unless the blinds are pulled up and then you are woken early with the sun rising. The rooms also only come with one pillow each - but a choice of two would be welcome for those who like two for a more comfortable sleep and the bed sheets in Rooms 1 & 2 were made of a very 'rough/scratchy' material which weren't too nice to sleep on. Better fans, a couple more pillows and a softer bed sheet would have made this a 100 out of 100 stay - but we would still give this an amazing and strong 98 out of 100 stay and highly recommend!

The decorating is understated, elegance, and absolutely spectacular. There is a beautiful kitchen and living area.

The location was great, the host was friendly and helpful. The available drinks were well priced and there were biscuits and sweets to have with our coffee.
The narrow and steep stairs down to the bathroom were painted black and not easy to see at night. Better lighting at the top of the stairs might have been helpful.
