Tomax was a great base for exploring the surrounding area, including Culloden and the Clava Cairns - both well worth the short trip. The location made it easy to see the sights while still having a comfortable place to return to.
The hosts were wonderful and very helpful throughout our stay - when I had trouble locking the door, they sorted it out quickly and without fuss.
A couple of practical notes for future guests: the second bed is a lounge sofa, which was quite hard - I made do with extra bedding I'd brought along. There's also building works behind the cabin and a road at the front, so it may not suit those wanting complete peace and quiet.
