comfy room. plenty of tea and coffee in the room. fresh milk when i asked for it.
staff were friendly. pub had a great atmosphere and the meals were lovely.
we had a room above the bar and it was quite noisy (but it didn't stop me sleeping!)
(from a previous visit the rooms at the back are quieter)

A lovely traditional country inn. The Anchor provides comfortable accommodation, a friendly environment, good location, a great breakfast and good parking all at an excellent price.
Yes there are one or two niggles like iffy soundproofing and a temperamental TV, but for us these were very minor when set against the Inn’s strengths.

Location was great and the staff were nice
Breakfast, bacon and sausage were overcooked (nearly burnt) on Saturday. On Sunday the poached egg was inedible.
Bedside lamp did not work (staff informed on leaving).
Despite the curtains having blackout linings, the sun shone through the window from 6:30 and I had to sleep facing the wall with the duvet over my head.
A blackout blind in the window recess would stop this.
Nearly all the staff were really nice and friendly.
