It is hard to find a space that accommodates five people, so this was amazing. Perfect combination of a historic property with modern conveniences.

- Incredible building and location, the views were amazing!
- Lovely balance of beautiful old building on outside but contemporary interiors
- Peaceful and tranquil despite it being in August
- Lots to go and explore in the area but equally can relax by the pool
- The room was spacious, comfortable and clean
- Staff were very friendly and helped me plan my day and book wine tasting
- Hotel was easy to find and to park at
- The wine cellar and restaurant are amazing! Setting, service and quality were great.
- I know some people didn't like the self check in but I didn't mind it as the instructions were really clear on how to access the hotel and the room. However, I do think it would have been better if there was some information in the room with key details such as breakfast and check out times and how to book restaurant/ wine tasting, room service and things to do in local area. They do say you can just message them on booking.com but I kept feeling like I was bothering them with my questions.
- Surprised no coffee/ tea making facilities in the room.
- The room stated there was a free mini bar but when I arrived there was only water in it and when I asked reception about it, they simply added a bottle of coke and apple juice to it. As it was in 'wine country' and as it was a wine fridge and there was wine glasses in the room, I think it would be nicer to provide guests with a complimentary or chargeable bottle of wine for them to enjoy. Maybe would solve the issue of no bar on the terrace?
- I do think they are missing a trick by not offering drinks/ snacks on the terrace in the afternoon/ evening or clearer comms on maybe ordering at the restaurant?

The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was decent size. Good shower. The restaurant was good, so was the food and the waiter very polite and knowledgeable.
On arrival the front door was locked so we had to go through the back in and realised it was a self checkin. The envelope was waiting for us with the electronic front door code and room code. It worked the first time. When we went out and tried to come back in the codes did not work. Nobody around. Had to call the number on the door. A young guy came to help us who was rude. The room was tiny. Just enough room for the bed. The tv did not work. The pool was very dirty. The breakfast was very basic and disappointing. Given it is cherry season you’d expect some fresh fruit for breakfast. Nothing! When we set outside on the terrace to eat breakfast there was a guy who was spraying olive trees with pesticide with no regards to guests. We had to move inside. Overall it felt guests were left to their own devices. No customer service. I cannot believe the high rates they charge and what little they offer. I will not be back.
