Great location, very private at the cabin. The cows came up to say hello in the field next to us. Hot tub was lovely and kitchen had everything you could need for your stay, had all of your usual expected kitchenware.
Only issue that we had was, that there wasn't really any storage space for clothes, left ours sat in our bags. That is all that could be pointed out.

The hosts were wonderful and attentive. The view is exceptional. There is sufficient privacy and space from other huts. The hot tub is definitely a great bonus. We came by taxi from Carlisle, and it wasn't a problem finding the property, so that too is an option if not traveling by your own car.
The bathroom is tiny, but that should be expected in this type of property.

lovely quiet location and very private. Very relaxing and away from it all with beautiful views.
Not much storage as we stayed for a week probably more catered for a long weekend.

This was perfect. My husband and I had a three night stay at the Shepherd's Sunset and the only thing I would change would have been to stay longer. The hut was very well equipped with absolutely everything required for a luxurious long weekend / week and was immaculate inside and out. The pictures do not do it justice, it was lovely. The property is set in it's own private area with views over the fields for miles. The hot tub area is very private, also with views over the fields and on towards Gretna. We were made to feel extremely welcome by the hosts David and Brenda and communication during and after the booking process was fantastic. We would thoroughly recommend a stay at High Rigg.
