Clean and spacious pretty location
Quite steep steps up to property… tricky for our older dog… unable to watch tv, as kept cutting out every few seconds

Lovely size apartment in a beautiful location. This was a one night stopover. Helpful pub staff assisted immediately when the lock box got stuck. We also had a tasty meal at the pub. Breakfast provisions were left for us in the apartment.
The mattresses were too soft for us (but will suit others!).

The communications from the owner were excellent - all codes were sent clearly on the morning of arrival, and I was able to share that we would be late arriving as the day progressed. I was excited to book Kitty's Place and to stay there with my daughters. This was a really good looking accommodation, well presented, just like in the photos. It was spacious, but it runs across the top of the pub, along one half. You enter into the main bedroom/lounge, which links to the next bedroom, which links to a kitchen area (with another external door), and finally that links to the bathroom. From memory, tea and coffee and breakfast cereals were provided, as were towels (good) and bedding (polyester sheet, bad).
I take on board that I've probably read too many horror books, but.... I was uncomfortable with the fact there were two entrances into the property from the passageway, and I wasn't sure who could access the passageway, or where from - was it accessible from the pub? Or from another property? I think I was able to put the latch down on the second door (into the kitchen) and prop a chair in front of it. But I was REALLY uncomfortable that the main door was on a code. Due to our lateness arriving, trying to get my kids fed, showered and to bed, I didn't 'practice' with the door before going to bed, and even realised at one point I hadn't shut the door properly somehow. At least with a key you can leave it in the door so no one else with a key can enter from outside, but with a code... my mind was in overdrive. There seemed to be a private party or a lock-in downstairs - luckily only audible from the bathroom end of the flat, but it meant that the last person seemed to leave around 1.30am, and then it was completely quiet and dark... but then I kept wondering 'has everyone left?' I just couldn't sleep. None of this would have been a problem for me if I'd had a second adult with me, but I felt very vulnerable on my own with children. It's 4 weeks since I stayed, but these feelings have remained with me, so I need to include them in the review bkg.com keeps asking for!
