Pleasant option for overnight stay.

Clean, comfortable room with decent- quality linens and acceptable amenities. Restaurant, fast food and convenience store within walking distance. Friendly staff, easy check-in and check-out. Older motel but well maintained.

Traffic noise is relentless.

"Royal Inn" 🙄 is dated and unloved and it shows everywhere. Avoid like the plague!!

They ARE willing to give you a deal if you pay cash. Beware, though, and get a receipt! Folks TRIED keeping our cash rate paid up front for a week but found out the NEXT DAY we were leaving early.

How these people tried to bully my spouse into believing he could not get some type of refund. When I went to speak with them, I had to threaten calling the police because they were stealing from us! Then, and only then, did they VERY reluctantly calculate the regular rate vs cash weekly rate. We got our $175 back!

Absolutely terrible I wish I would have picked a different place

The price was okay that is about it

There was a no smoking room that I got I had to sign a waiver saying that I would be charged if I caught smoking yet the entire room smelled so bad of cigarette smoke that when I left in the morning all my things did. It was very dirty hot the AC was not on when I got there on one of the hottest days of the summer It never did catch up till morning.

One of my worst stays ever!!

Value based on amount paid.

BAD pillows on the bed. A kitchenette that has no utensils, dishes, or cookware is pointless!!! I reserved in advance, and at check-in was told no kitchenette units were available, but I could move to one for the next night. Once in a kitchenette unit, we had to go out and buy everything because the cabinets were absolutely BARE! Don't advertise an incomplete kitchenette unit because it is very misleading!!! What I thought I could save by not having to eat out was spent on supplies.

Clean and great value, especially for PSU football games.

The motel is dated, but VERY clean room, that's the most important aspect for us. Great value and only about a 45 minute ride from PSU football game. Bed was comfy, quiet area, and good shower pressure. The mini fridge was a bonus. The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. We'd definitely stay again if we are in the area.

you get what you pay for

cheap, the maid and maintenance man were nice.. we had to call them because fridge was off …they came right away and were pleasant.

it was old, stinky, dirty.. just a place to sleep. the bed was clean, so we stayed. but would never return. The person checking us in was rude!

Good, but could be better

Rooms were clean. The water was hot, for showering. Mini fridge and microwave in all rooms. Quiet location

All rooms are non smoking and they only give you 2 sets of towels and wash cloths. You have to "rent" additional sets, if you need it, for $4. Never ever seen this done before in all of my previous hotel/motel stays. They give you a password for the wifi, but it doesn't work.

the fact we had to “rent” an extra set of towels for $4 or if you needed anything extra was at a fee or “rental” cost.

closeness to where we had to go for work

we’ll housekeeping never came by in three days we was there when we first got there the room wasn’t cleaned had to wait to be cleaned they missed hangers hanging on the window and the mirror behind the door. they never came and asked if we need clean towels and wash clothes so we had to use the same stuff all three days we was there. I would absolutely not recommend this place no anyone.

It's clean.

No cold water only hot. So I couldn't take shower. The coffee machine in the room needs a clean or better yet replacing. Sheets had been washed but had marks on them.
