Close to Paradise

The property is gorgeous, the views from the room truly beautiful, the room decor just lovely. The pool and gardens superb. Very friendly and serviceable staff. I wish I could have stayed longer, and no doubt that under sunny weather, it must feel like the perfect place.

The tents and more specifically the zip-up doors need replacement.

Lovely but very poor access

Tent room was fab, as were the surroundings and views. Food was lovely, staff helpful and friendly.

The access was a major turn off unfortunately as much as we liked the place the road to get there is horrendous - bumpy, potholed, twisty, narrow and well over an hour like this. Our very experienced driver was fine and got us there ok but ideally need a 4x4 or better still find a helicopter to get there! Was litter still on our balcony which wasn't great. Mind out for the monkeys, if they eat while sat on your roof it rolls off into the plunge pool or hits you if unlucky! Also they leave little 'presents' lying about so take care not to step in them ha. Gave us wrong keys for padlocks to tent first so double check before you lock it and can't get back in! (You need to lock it because of monkeys).

This place was beautiful. The lodges were perfectly clean and lovely. The views from this lodges are perfect. The food was delicious and the team were very accomodating with our halal food preference. The best thing about this place is the very kind and lovely staff. We had the best hospitality particularly from staff member Visha. He was constantly friendly and always making sure we were looked after. It made our stay perfect. Highly recommend a stay at the beautiful Madulkelle honeymoon suite 😊

The only thing would say is getting to the place is difficult due to the rough narrow roads. Make sure get through via a 4x4 or a jeep for a smooth drive.

I wish my stay was longer..

Literally everything about the place is on spot, starting with the great location were you will realise later that every view your eyes will catch is a breathtaking.. all day every day!! (All weather conditions were pleasant, rainy or sunny) As for the service can’t complain at all.. beginning with a friendly warm hospitality to the daily chef meals follow up, also every single request has been taken care of so again can’t complain.

Can not find a single thing to share!

A great way to experience a tea plantation.

Great location with awesome views. Staff are all super polite and friendly. A lovely guide on hand for local hikes and an insight into village life. Great chef for a cooking demonstration. Helpful with our early departure providing a picnic breakfast.

It is 30km from Kandy so once there, travellers should keep in mind you’re not going to duck into town. Once on the plantatin, you’re probably not going anywhere else (tours aside) until you leave. Not a hardship thoguh as it’s a beautiful spot.

Paradise on earth

A true paradise with amazing views all the time (especially from the tent and infinity pool). Very very friendly and helpful staff (the front office speaks very well English). The food was amazing as well! They can organise lots of activities for you but just relaxing at the property is already great! Yes, it’s a bit pricey for Sri Lanka but it’s also an excellent experience.

it’s not really easy to reach (so take it into account when booking a driver), but it’s the price to pay for the magnificent views. so really nothing to dislike.

The tranquility, location and hospitality were first-rate. The safari tent room was beautiful with the most incredible view of the knuckles.

The food was not good. Considering how much the hotel costs there should be better quality food and better service. The spa was shut one day and they couldn't do a cooking class. There was a dog barking for an hour outside all the guests rooms at 3am and no one dealt with it until we complained. It could be a wonderful hotel but it felt like there were aspects that were lacking

Very unsafe and aggressive monkeys everywhere

The view.

It is very far away. No activities to spend your time. Monkeys 🐒 attacked our tent and were very aggressive, not safe at all. We had to cancel the second night. No room service. You cannot relax due to insects and leeches. It is cold at night and no hot water, heater. Not recommended at all

The accommodation and experience is so unique and once in a lifetime. staff very friendly

At 5am the music from the temple woke us up. The road to get to the places takes over an hour and isn’t pleasant. Also I reserved the booking on my American Express credit card but when I went to leave I couldn’t pay on it. it’s a very expensive place so a lot of money I had to pay on my debit card

Beautiful views all around. a nice retreat.

The place is very beautiful and relaxing. the view is amazing. The accommodation for the price could have been a bit better. The staffs were very helpful in getting back a pair of earrings that I forgot upon check out back to me. I appreciate that a lot.

The most incredible location with breathtaking views! The food was outstanding and the staff truly went above and beyond (the manager even organised for me to personally meet one of the local tea pickers!!)

Most beautiful scenery ever

The atmosphere around area was so calming which was exactly what I looked for. The food was also amazing. Lovely staff who were well trained for hospitality and very helpful

Only downside was the weather as it was raining but can’t blame it on the hotel. Every thing was awesome
