Het huis is aan een rustig kruispunt gelegen. Leuk terras om even buiten te zitten. Uitstekende keuken faciliteiten waaronder een prima was-droog combinatie. Slaapkamer en badkamer ook geweldig. De host antwoordde snel .
Waar we wel wat vreemd vonden waren de sensoren in alle ruimtes met uitzondering van slaapkamer en badkamer. Zodra je bv in de keuken beweegt zie je de sensor rood oplichten. Volgens de host zijn het warmtedetectoren ( brandmelders) maar waarom dan een signaal bij beweging? Hierop is niet gereageerd.

Honestly, this is a perfect place if you are visiting Durham and the location is even better than one thinks. Durham is a very hilly city and location really matters. It's just a short stroll to the city centre over a medieval footbridge, but the unexpected plus for this house is that it's just a 2 minute stroll to the bus station. It's likely guests staying a few days will want to visit nearby locations which take 30-90 minutes by bus. The house is really great. Everything works well and there are sensible quantities of kitchenware and things you need like rubbish bags and dishwasher tablets. A good shower, a good TV and decent bed linen and towels.
We couldn't open the front door lock upon arrival but phoned for help and they sent a nice friendly man. To be honest, it was probably just that we were very tired, though the door opens to the right rather than to the left as is more common. There wasn't really anything we didn't like.

Really good location. Lovely property. Would stay again!
Nothing wrong with the property itself. Just a fair bit of external noise from alarms/fire alarms in other houses going off. Windows aren’t thick so if you’re a light sleeper maybe take some ear buds. We also stayed during the summer heatwave, so fans in bedroom would have been nice.

Overall, it was a terrific place to stay. Loved the location - just a block down to the heart of Durham's old city. House was very comfortable, light and bright! Loved the little back garden with seating.
The front room was a bit loud on weekend nights but that's easy to remedy with earplugs. (would be nice for owners to provide) I would also say that the front bedroom upstairs could benefit from darker window coverings, but that was minor.
