Casa de Nelly is in a quiet area of town about two blocks behind the malecon, on the end. Its a short walk back to the malecon and all the restaurants offered. It is also close to local lavanderia and panaderias for your needs. Its quite walkable from the ferry port, and we walked rather than taking them up on a ride. The rooms are basic and comfortable, the AC works well, and it was very clean. The rooms were refreshed daily. Plenty of hot water in the shower. We just booked a standard room, but the upgraded rooms with balcony have really nice views of the ocean. The property offers cold and hot drinking water 24x7 and has coffee setup at 7am for breakfast and from 5-7 in the evenings. You will want to bring a cup or snag one during the evening service if you want one for another time window. If you have a tour, you likely will be leaving the hotel before 7am so keep this in mind on whether its worth pre-paying for breakfast for your stay (we did not due to a couple of early mornings). They have a nice garden to relax in, if the weather is dry. Unfortunately we had a ton of rain during our stay so didn't really take advantage.
The wifi was spotty. We first thought it was because a big group of teenagers were staying, but even after they left it wasn't 100% reliable. This is not uncommon on the islands.
A darker shade/curtain on the windows would be useful on the days you do not have an early start. We usually wake up early anyway and were happy the area was so quiet.

The staff was amazing - major shoutout to Gaby. The hotel was beautiful. With a cancelled flight and a lot of lost money, Casa de Nelly completely saved our San Cristobal experience.
