The host had great communication skills, was super friendly and we really appreciated the airport pickup. Room was simple but good for the after flight sleep

The free airport shuttle service was brilliant. Pool was a nice added bonus and the staff were lovely and attentive.
Wasn’t the cleanest as it was pods so bugs easily got in.

The driver who took me to the airport was nice and it is included.
When I checked in, the owner/manager got on the phone about payment (fine) but asked me how I thought I was going to pay if I had no rupees. I said card. He was very abrupt then asked me for dollars or euros, neither of which I had. If I couldn't pay by card then make that note on the booking. (I could, he just didn't want me to - I paid half cash and 3% fee on using the card).
The pool was not usable.
The shared toilet had a nail as a lock - sharp, unsafe and difficult to use.
The shower was not clean, and no door/cover.
Mosquitos and ants in the room.
Basically, they take advantage of the location and people needing a quick stay near the airport, they don't care about repeat guests - just get them in and out. I wouldn't stay here again. Everywhere I have stayed in Sri Lanka was far better.
