This was my first time in Oxford and the Lodge was perfect for me. The room was really nice with a big window letting in plenty of light that could be opened for some fresh air. The location was great, quiet street and yet not like a ghost town. Nice pub and café nearby and a 20 minute walk downtown which I really enjoyed every morning and night. I arrived 3 hours early and the room was ready which allowed me to leave my luggage and go explore the city. There is a lovely walk along the canal about 5 minutes away. The front door and rooms use codes so you don’t have to worry about carrying or losing your key, brilliant. Oh and the charming neighbourhood of Jericho with its restaurants, pubs and cafés is less than a 10 minute walk away.
Everything was perfect except there was no body soap or shampoo to be found anywhere, but I didn’t really mind since I had my own.

Super quiet and comfy beds
It’s located a good 10min walk from train/ bus station in a very quiet residential neighbourhood. It’s a house with 6 bedrooms and a shared kitchen living room. There’s no staff on site and access is via code. The communal staircase has a stale smell, but room was clean.

Pillow had a damp wet and stale smell
Floor towel was stained
Toilet seat didn’t fit the toilet- was an odd size so it felt weird sitting down
Bed was next to the fridge which was emitting a very bright light- had to cover that with a pillow
Really small room
No toiletries!! (Like soap or shampoo!)
