Good Location for the train station which was my requirement. There are pubs, bakeries and supermarkets in the area. You would need to walk a bit for the city centre, but you would pay much less than for the city centre.
Contactless check-in and check-out well implemented so no problem if you arrive late at night. Just remember to have your phone charged or have good memory for the entry code.
Good sized bathroom, comfortable bed. Smart TV in the room. Fan provided.
Weak point is the kitchen facilities (see below), however for business travellers on a budget requiring to be close to the train station or West Oxford for 5 days or less, this would be a very competitive option against a hotel.
The cooking and eating space is a bit cramped, you have a microwave, a small fridge, kettle with complimentary tea bags, and a set of cutlery, dishes. You have to eat on the same table that functions as a desk, that is quite small.
In my view, "Executive Room" would be a better description for the place instead of "Studio", because the latter implies there is a kitchenette.

The location is excellent, with the train station only a 5–10 minute walk away. The room is an ideal size for short stays of one or two nights, and the key collection process was very straightforward and convenient.
The bathroom was clean and well-maintained.
Apart from the bathroom, the main room where you sleep feels quite dated. The bed sheets appeared clean, but their color was so faded that it was difficult to tell whether they were actually clean or not. There were dead flies on the windowsill, and the area was very dusty.
The mattress was also extremely soft, to the point where it felt quite worn out and offered very little support. It seemed as though most of the original firmness had disappeared over time.
The bathroom ventilation fan was covered in dust and could definitely use a thorough cleaning, as it does not give a good impression. There are also some small signs of dampness and mold on parts of the walls, although fortunately they were not severe enough to cause discomfort during our stay.
One additional point worth mentioning is that the location listed on Booking.com leads to a different Google Maps listing called “The Little Studio,” which appears to be the unit next door to Oak Studio on the same floor. This property has several very negative Google reviews, including reports of bed bugs. The photos in those reviews look almost identical to this apartment, with very similar room layouts, curtains, and interior design. Before arriving, this created significant concern for us and we even considered booking alternative accommodation because of those reviews.
Another issue is the noise insulation. Since the apartment is located on the ground floor, almost every sound from the building can be heard clearly inside the room. People entering the building, walking through the hallway, or using the stairs sounded as if they were inside the apartment itself. We woke up at least two or three times during the night because of the noise.
That said, I cannot say that the overall condition of Oak Studio itself was particularly impressive either. After reading the Google reviews about the neighboring property and the reported bed bug issues, we were genuinely concerned and even considered cancelling our stay.
