Convenient stay for one night

- great location given its right across from the train and bus station - responsive staff on booking - it has a small public bath

- you can detect cigarette smell in the room since there are smoking rooms in the common area. But this is true for most Japanese hotels unless the establishment is truly non-smoking. I look forward to the day when Japan bans all indoor-smoking.

Nice hotel, but very uncomfortable bed.

Good location, and a nice small sento. The facility allowed me to add another person to my room after my accommodation was made for a small fee, which helped my friend get to Takayama during the festival.

I'm not one for fancy beds, I slept in a couple of capsule hotels on this trip, but this was the worst bed I slept on on my trip. couldn't sleep most of the time and my back hurt a lot as a result. also couldn't control the AC, and opening the windows brought mosquitoes in. only 2 washing machines for the whole hotel.

great place to stay.

the hotel is well located ( actually in front of the station so I didn’t have to carry my bags a lot of time, the room was really comfy and the bed was nice ( i have been traveling in Japan for 20 days now and every night I been in hostels so this bed was a great release for my back) and the sauna was great, it’s really big and has a lot of amenities, if I come back to takayama I would definitely book again there.

I like the spa area downstairs, laundry area, and the view from our room!

Wonderful place. Cozy.

The breakfast was included in our room. There were only 2 choices, Asian or Western. The Asian was the better choice to go with. I would have liked to see the restaurant open at other times. The room was good and the location was excellent. Right across from the train station. Many places to eat close by and even walking to places was not a problem. Would like to go back when there is more snow on the ground.
